Abstract

347,185. Regulating. FIAT SOC. ANON., 250, Via Nizza, Turin, Italy. Jan. 20, 1930, No. 1951. Convention date, Nov. 13, 1929. [Classes 7 (iii) and 7 (vi).] In means for controlling the engine speed by a centrifugal governor actuating the carburetter throttle independently of the action of the accelerator pedal, the governor weights 12, Fig. 3, engage, at a certain speed, with the inside of a drum 15 connected to the spindle of the throttle 37, Fig. 4, which has a further connection 31 to a spring 34 interposed between the lever 31 and a second lever 32 actuated by the accelerator pedal. In a modification, Fig. 5, the governor is connected by a rod 21 and lever 20 to the throttle spindle 19, on which is loosely mounted another lever 22 connected by a rod 23 to the accelerator pedal, a spring 24 connecting the levers 20, 22.
