Controlling-apparatus, arrangements of hand and foot gear in conjunction with; setting and retaining devices.-In a combined hand and foot control of the carburettor throttle, especially of motor vehicles, the usual foot pedal b actuates the throttle lever a through a link d and lever c, and the hand control comprises a handle e actuating Bowden mechanism h which raises or lowers the link d in a slot formed in the lever c. The hand control is held in the adjusted position by a spring or other device f. In a modification, the hand control may be adapted directly to the throttle lever a.
