[Class 80 (ii).] In overload-release clutches for winding-apparatus, such as anchor winches, of the kind in which driving and driven cones b, c are separated against springs d by the axial thrust of inclined struts i connecting relatively-rotatable discs f, g with or without spring coupling-means h, disengagement of the clutch under slight shock is prevented by slidably connecting the parts c, f and interposing spring-means m adjustable by a screwed sleeve p, studs n, o, one of which is adjustable, being arranged to contact in order to effect positive disengagement Motion is transmitted to the winch &c. by a pinion k rigid with the disc g.
