Abstract

285,148. General Electric Co., Ltd., Kaula, R. J., and Quance, F. G. Nov. 11,1926. Ceiling roses.-The flexible leads entering through an aperture 18, 37 in a cover 9, 32 screwing on to the base 1, 22 of a lampholder, coupling, ceiling rose, &c. is gripped between the cover and a projection 15, 31 formed on the 'base, the projection entering and cooperating with the aperture in the cover. In a lamp-holder or adapter, Fig. 1, the projection 15 is formed on a wall 10 that separates the terminals 5 and is formed with hooks, holes &c. 11 and 12 to engage the leads, and with projections 13 to prevent each lead from approaching the opposite terminal. The cover 9 screws on to a thread on the base 1 or on a sheath 3 of metal. In a ceiling rose, Fig. 4, the projection 31 may co-operate with a bush 33 that screws into the aperture 36 in the cover so as to be separately adjustable by a knurled flange 38.
