Abstract

686,700. Conduits; conduit fittings. HUGHES, G. J. June 4, 1951 [June 2, 1950], No. 13805/50. Classes 36 and 38 (i). A conduit connecting member is provided with a detachable cover secured by a screw or screws and having a recess or projection which engages with a projection or recess in the member, the screws being situated in a part of the member other than the conduit receiving limbs. The aperture I in an elbow-piece is bordered by a facing 2 which is provided with a screw-hole 8 on its outer edge and a raised lug 12 on its inner edge. The cover 3 is provided with a corresponding screw hole 18 and recess 13, so that when it is positioned over the aperture 1 it may be secured by one screw. In an alternative arrangement two screw-holes may be provided at the outer corners of the facing 2, the cover 3 being modified accordingly. According to a further modification the cover may be provided with a projection, the elbow-piece then having a corresponding hole or recess.
