Abstract

418,999. Plug couplings. THOMPSON, C. H., 30, Courthope Villas, Wimbledon, London. May 5, 1933, No. 13143. [Class 38 (i).] A wander plug is furnished with a resilient catch, formed from sheet metal and comprising a pair of spring arms 13 attached to a ring 11 that may be bowed. The ring 11 is gripped between a flange 17 on the body 16 of the plug and a cap 21 which is screwed to the body by a central screw 20 that also serves to secure and penetrate the insulated lead inserted in a hole 18. The arms 13 are bent to form projections 14 that engage under a flange 22 on the socket 23. According to the Provisional Specification the pair of arms may be encircled by a spring ring.
