197,804. St³ting, H. March 31, 1922. Rolling - A rolling-mill comprises a driving gear box a having radially arranged pinions b mounted on shafts carrying spur gears c all the gears being driven from a pulley c. The gear box may drive two universal roll stands having passes at 45‹ and arranged on opposite sides of the box as shown in Fig. 2, four alternate spur gears driving one roll stand while the remaining four gears drive the other roll stand.
