ESTA INVENCION PROPORCIONA UN METODO PARA MATAR LAS CELULAS EN EL PROCESO DE FERMENTACION A FIN DE PREPARAR LA MEZCLA DE FERMENTACION PARA SU PROCESAMIENTO PARA RECUPERAR O EXTRAER UN PRODUCTO DESEADO DE LA MEZCLA FERMENTADA. UN METODO PREFERENTE DE ESTA INVENCION COMPRENDE EL AJUSTAR EL PH DE LA MEZCLA DE FERMENTACION ALREDEDOR DE 4.75 UTILIZANDO UN ACIDO MINERAL, DESPUES AÑADIR SUFICIENTE CANTIDAD DE ACIDO ACETICO A LA MEZCLA PARA AFECTAR LA MUERTE DE LAS CELULAS SUSTANCIALMENTE COMPLETA EN LA MEZCLA. EL METODO DE ESTA INVENCION ES UTIL PARA DETENER EL CRECIMIENTO Y MUERTE DE LAS CELULAS DE CUALQUIER MICROORGANISMO UTILIZADO EN CULTIVOS O EN PROCEDIMIENTOS DE FERMENTACION TALES COMO LAS LEVADURAS QUELOS CONTIENEN, LAS BACTERIAS Y LOS HONGOS.
