Definitions
- the invention relates to a recessed luminaire according to the devisebegiviff of claim 1.
- Such recessed lights are known from the prior art in many forms.
- "dark-light lights” are known in which the illuminant and reflector are arranged to each other so that the bulb is no longer visible from a certain angle and thus can not develop a dazzling effect.
- this avoidance of a glare effect also means that the ceiling area of a room illuminated in this way remains largely unlighted and the relationship between the light source and the illuminated area perceived as natural by humans is lost since it is not possible to know from which light source the light originates.
- recessed lights are known in which holder and reflector are arranged relative to each other such that the reflector extends in the mounting surface mounted recessed luminaire in a main illumination direction beyond the mounting surface out, the reflector in this, over the mounting surface
- In addition extending range is coupled to a perpendicular or angled to the main illumination direction extending, arranged outside the reflector reflection element, which is acted upon by the light between the mounting surface and reflection region area with light.
- recessed lights are, for example, in the documents EP 0 678 700 A1 . FR 2 135 928 and DE 195 07 333 A1 disclosed.
- the reflector opening located in the main illumination direction is not in the plane of the installation surface, but below this plane, which means that the reflector protrudes from the installation surface in the main illumination direction.
- the reflector in its protruding from the mounting surface area a mounting option for said reflection element, which extends outside of the reflector, for example, around this.
- the reflection element which shadows the reflector only in a small way in contrast to the last-mentioned luminaires, can be effectively illuminated via the reflector opening only in the case of very small dimensions, so that the attained ceiling-lightening effect corresponding to the small reflection element is low.
- Linear luminaires which have elongated side reflectors, which are made transparent in its upper region, whereas the lower region of the side reflectors, which protrudes from the installation surface, is opaque. Even with such linear luminaires can only achieve a weak, barely perceptible ceiling lighting. In addition, the lighting principles disclosed in that document can not be easily transferred to downlights.
- An object of the invention is to develop the recessed lights known from the prior art such that in particular with downlights, an advantageous, glare-free ceiling lighting can be achieved with a sufficiently large, easily perceptible effect, without at the same time the efficiency of the direct light illumination to a relevant extent suffers from the constructive measures necessary for the ceiling whitening effect.
- the reflector is at least partially translucent or transparent or provided with openings in its region extending beyond the installation surface
- light can pass from the interior of the reflector into the region lying between the reflection element and the installation surface and then finally the reflection element of FIG act on top.
- the reflection element can take on an additional blanking function, since it can prevent light from entering the observer's eye directly from the outside of the translucent or transparent reflector.
- the reflection element can be exposed to a light component which does not originate from the interior of the reflector.
- the additional light exit region may extend in a plane which coincides at least substantially with the plane of the installation surface or which is perpendicular or oblique to the plane of the installation surface.
- lights according to the invention can be worked inside the reflector according to the known dark-light principle and it can be used the resulting advantages, but at the same time takes place around the reflector around in the context of the mentioned Dechenaufhellung a lighting of the mounting surface.
- This illuminated area of the mounting surface is always visible to the eye of the observer, so that always a visible mark of the light source is guaranteed, which despite the use of the dark-light principle leads to a perceived as pleasant room atmosphere with good light atmosphere.
- the light reflected to the mounting surface which in turn passes as scattered light from there into the room to be illuminated, also a generation of softer shadows and an advantageous wall illumination is achieved.
- an adverse shading of faces is avoided, which usually occurs in a direct lighting from above.
- reflection element according to the invention for example by an individual choice of the shape or the color of the reflection element.
- the reflection element can be formed on its side facing the installation surface reflective or specular. In this embodiment, it is advantageous that the entire incident on the reflection element from above light is reflected in the direction of the mounting surface, so that adjusts a particularly efficient ceiling illumination. Seen from below, the reflection element appears unlighted in this case.
- the reflection element is also possible to form the reflection element as a light reflecting only for a portion of the incident light and transparent to another portion of the incident light.
- the reflected light component serves to illuminate the ceiling, whereas the light object part passing through the reflection element leads to a diffuse, scattering room illumination, which starts from the underside of the reflection element.
- the glare effect does not emanate from the reflection element, since the light component passing through the reflection element escapes out of it exclusively as scattered light.
- the reflective element with transparent areas or apertures through which light from the space between the mounting surface and the reflection element can pass unhindered through the reflection element.
- the reflection element according to the invention can be detachably and / or exchangeably connected to the reflector.
- An exchange of the reflection element is particularly interesting from a design point of view, since depending on the light mood to be achieved reflection elements with different shapes, different optical behavior and / or different colors can be used without any changes to the rest of the downlight would have to be made.
- reflection elements outside the reflector which, for example, can have different sizes and / or colors from one another.
- These multiple reflection elements may, for example, extend parallel to one another and have different distances to the mounting surface.
- the reflector has a first reflector opening located in the main illumination direction and a second reflector opening opposite to the main illumination direction, wherein the second reflector opening is assigned an additional reflector or background reflector.
- the additional or background reflector lying opposite the main illumination direction behind the second reflector opening can act both on the reflector itself and on the described additional light exit region.
- the illuminant radiates to a direct light via the reflector in the main illumination direction and on the other in the main illumination direction opposite direction to the additional or background reflector, which the light incident on him depending on its configuration partly in the direction of the additional light exit region and partly in the direction of the first reflector opening of the reflector directs, so that this additional or background reflector also for Increase in efficiency in direct light generation via the reflector contributes.
- a light passage region is formed between additional reflector or reflector and reflector, so that the additional or background reflector that part of the light, which is intended for the additional light exit region, on the outside of the reflector over to said can direct additional light exit area.
- the additional light exit area can be acted upon both via the additional or background reflector and directly via the light source.
- the additional or background reflector may be formed by at least one flat or suitably shaped reflector surface, which is formed either mirroring or diffuse reflective.
- a suitable curvature or buckling of the additional or background reflector By a suitable curvature or buckling of the additional or background reflector, the ratio of the light components, which are directed to the first reflector opening of the reflector and to the additional light exit region, can be adjusted in a targeted manner.
- the additional or background reflector is shaped so that a high proportion of light to the first reflector opening and only a small amount of light reaches the additional light exit area.
- the luminous means and the reflector are arranged in a housing which is in particular light-proof and / or dust-tight, whose inner surface is formed at least in regions as an additional or background reflector.
- a housing which is in particular light-proof and / or dust-tight, whose inner surface is formed at least in regions as an additional or background reflector.
- the housing bottom in the main illumination direction open housing, in particular, the housing bottom than a flat or suitably curved or kinked Reflector surface are formed, which forms at least a portion of the additional or background reflector.
- the side walls of such a housing can be designed to be reflective or diffuse reflective and thus act as further reflector areas.
- forming the housing bottom or the housing side walls as additional or background reflector is achieved in an advantageous manner that no additional components are required for this reflector. It is only necessary that the housing on the inside to equip each with the desired reflection behavior.
- the housing it is advantageous if this is made light-tight, since in this case, for example, in suspended ceilings inaccuracies in the processing are not inadvertently illuminated from behind. Furthermore, the housing can be made dustproof, so as to counteract such as caused by air conditioning pollution of lamps and reflectors.
- the intended for the actual room lighting reflector is preferably formed on its inside as well as the reflectors known recessed lights mirroring in order to achieve a defined lighting characteristics and good efficiency.
- the reflector can be designed to be reflective or diffusely reflecting, so that the light acting on the additional light exit region can also be conducted via the outside of the reflector.
- the outside of the reflector in this case forms an area of the additional or background reflector.
- the housing of the recessed luminaire according to the invention can be located in the region of the additional light exit area through a translucent or transparent pane and in the area of the main illumination direction first opening of the reflector by a further, in particular transparent disc at least substantially dust-tight. In this way, with adequate design of the housing, a high degree of dustproofness of the overall arrangement can be achieved.
- the reflector is detachable from the housing.
- the bulb is particularly well accessible, so that a comfortable replacement is possible. This is particularly advantageous when elongate bulbs are used whose longitudinal extent is perpendicular to the main illumination direction.
- the reflector on the housing can be articulated or fastened by means of a detachable screw, magnetic, clip, latch or bayonet connection.
- the reflector is mounted displaceably in the main illumination direction in the housing.
- the distance between the reflection element and the installation surface or ceiling can be changed, whereby the size of the area in which the ceiling appears brightened, can be adjusted.
- the relative position of the reflector relative to the lighting means can be changed by the said displaceability, whereby the lighting characteristics of the recessed luminaire according to the invention can be varied in the respectively desired manner.
- the recessed luminaire according to the invention can be operated with any lamps. It is preferred if an elongated lamp in the form of a compact fluorescent lamp is used, whose longitudinal direction either coincides with the main illumination direction or is perpendicular thereto. If the longitudinal extension is perpendicular to the main illumination direction, a particularly good ceiling illumination can be achieved since, in this case, a comparatively relevant proportion of light can reach the reflection element, for example through the partially translucent reflector.
- Fig. 1 shows a fixed in a ceiling 1, substantially cylindrical, open at the bottom housing 2, wherein in the region of the housing bottom, a bulb socket 3 is provided, in which a lighting means 4 is inserted.
- the housing 2 is internally coupled to a translucent or transparent cylindrical element 5, which forms an additional light exit region.
- the cylindrical element 5 protrudes in the main illumination direction A from the housing 2 and has at its lower end facing away from the housing 2 a horizontally extending parallel to the ceiling 1 collar 6, which has a circular ring shape and forms the reflection element according to the invention.
- a domed or dome-shaped reflector 8 is provided, which has a first, larger reflector opening 9 on its side facing away from the illuminant mount 3. Furthermore, the reflector 8 has a second, smaller reflector opening 10 on its side facing the light-emitting means holder 3.
- the reflector extends from the area in the cylindrical element 5 and collar 6 adjoin one another until approximately in the middle of the housing 2, so that the light-emitting region of the illuminant 4 comes to rest in the upper region of the reflector interior.
- the illuminant 4 When operating the recessed luminaire according to Fig. 1 the illuminant 4 radiates a comparatively large proportion of light in the direction of the pane 7 and in the direction of the inner wall of the reflector 8 Fig. 1 two ray trajectories are shown.
- the said light component ultimately causes a directed in the main illumination direction A direct illumination of a space located below the ceiling 1. This direct lighting is done according to the dark-light principle, since the light source 4 is no longer visible from a certain viewing angle of the recessed luminaire shown and thus can develop no glare.
- a smaller proportion of light passes from the light source 4 to the bottom of the housing s 2, which is formed as an additional or background reflector 11 and accordingly has specular or diffusely reflecting properties.
- the additional or background reflector 11 reflects the light impinging on it in the direction of the cylindrical element 5, which, as already mentioned, is translucent or transparent. Thus, said light portion passes through the cylindrical member 5 until it hits the mirror 6 formed on its upper surface. From there, the named light component is reflected in the direction of the ceiling 1, which is generally diffuse-reflective. Thus, the light diffusely reflected by the ceiling 1 is pleasantly visible without a glare effect occurring here.
- the described Beam path is in Fig. 1 exemplified by a light beam.
- Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of a recessed luminaire according to the invention, wherein in the Fig. 1 and 2 corresponding elements are each denoted by the same reference numerals. The same applies to the following explained Figures 3 and 4 ,
- a housing 2 is fixed in a ceiling 1.
- the inside of the housing is made mirror-like, so that it forms an additional or background reflector 11.
- a reflector 8 is provided with a first, larger reflector opening 9 and a second, smaller reflector opening 10, which extends with its lying in the main illumination direction A area on the mounting surface or the ceiling 1 addition.
- the reflector 8 is connected to a cylindrical element 5, which also extends beyond the ceiling 1 in the main illumination direction A addition and analogous to Fig. 1 is connected in its located in the main illumination direction A edge region with a perpendicular thereto extending collar 6.
- cylindrical element 5 is connected in its edge region facing away from the collar 6 with a horizontally extending ring element 12 which extends substantially within the plane of the ceiling 1 from the outside of the reflector 8 to the side wall of the housing 2.
- Ring element 12, cylindrical element 5 and collar 6 may be formed in one piece and translucent or transparent.
- two each designed as compact fluorescent tubes bulbs 4 are provided, whose longitudinal extent is perpendicular to the main illumination direction A, wherein alternatively the provision of only a compact fluorescent tube 4 would be possible.
- the lighting means 4 are arranged relative to the reflector 8 such that they are located approximately halfway in the interior of the reflector 8 and half in the gap formed between the housing bottom and the reflector 8. Alternatively, the lighting means 4 could also be located completely within the space formed between the housing bottom and the reflector 8 and thus completely above the reflector 8.
- the outside of the reflector 8 is mirror-like, as well as its inside, wherein the outside of the reflector 8 could be performed, for example, diffuse reflective.
- the collar 6 is formed, for example, as a diffuser disc or provided with a prismatic structure, so that it reflects a part of the incident light and light is permeable to another portion of light, the latter portion of light is converted due to the optical properties of the collar 6 in diffused light.
- This diffused light passes through the disc 7 on the underside of the collar 6, so that the collar 6, viewed from below, appears to be illuminated.
- Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of a recessed luminaire according to the invention, which in a number of features with the embodiment according to Fig. 2 matches. Accordingly, in Fig. 3 - As far as correspondences exist - also the same reference numerals as in Fig. 2 ,
- a single light source 4 is provided, which is positioned so that it is completely between the bottom of the housing 2 and the second or upper reflector opening 10.
- the light-emitting means 4 thus does not extend into the interior of the reflector 8.
- a light passage member 13 is provided instead of the cylindrical member 5 and the ring member 12 according to Fig. 2 in the embodiment according to Fig. 3 .
- the light passage element 13, which may in particular be integrally formed with the collar 6, has a substantially circular ring shape and is concavely curved, extending from the first or lower reflector opening 9 to the voltage applied to the ceiling element 1 edge of the housing 2.
- the curved embodiment of the light passage element 13 according to Fig. 3 allows opposite Fig. 2 an even more efficient loading of the collar 6 with light coming from the lamp 4, so that the ceiling illumination is further improved.
- Fig. 4 shows a side view of another embodiment of erfindunin, mounted in a ceiling 1 recessed luminaire.
- This recessed luminaire also has a cylindrical, cup-shaped housing 2, in which a reflector 8 is held.
- the reflector 8 extends in the main illumination direction A beyond the ceiling 1 and is - in contrast to the Fig. 1 and 2 - Slidably mounted in the housing 2 in the main illumination direction.
- the reflector 8 may be guided or mounted in the housing 2 in such a way that it can be latched there in two or more different vertical positions.
- a designed as a compact fluorescent lamp 4 is arranged, the longitudinal extent of the main illumination direction A coincides.
- the light-emitting means 4 extends from the interior of the housing 2 into the end area of the reflector 8 situated in the main illumination direction A. In this area, the light-emitting means is surrounded by a substantially annular central suppression additional reflector 14, which prevents the light-emitting means 4 in FIG its located in the main illumination direction A end region unfolds a disturbing glare.
- the reflector 8 according to Fig. 4 at least partially translucent, so that a preferably small amount of light can pass through it and impinge on the top of the reflection element 15. This proportion of light is then reflected by the top of the reflection element 15 in the direction of the ceiling 1, which in turn results in the inventive ceiling brightening.
- a corresponding, exemplary beam path is in Fig. 4 illustrated.
- a further proportion of light passes through the reflector 8 directly to the ceiling 1, which is based on a further beam path in Fig. 4 is also shown as an example.
- the reflector 8 according to Fig. 4 could also be carried out completely transparent and be provided only on its inside with a prismatic structure, which ensures that sufficient direct light leaves the reflector 8 through the located in the main illumination direction A reflector opening.
- this transparent embodiment is due the increased light transmission of the reflector 8 achieved that a comparatively large amount of light is available for ceiling lighting.
- Fig. 5 shows an embodiment of a recessed luminaire according to the invention, in which the reflector 8 analogous to Fig. 4 is held vertically displaceable in the housing 2.
- Corresponding components of in Fig. 5 downlight shown are designated by the same reference numerals, which are also in Fig. 4 were used.
- the lamp 4 is firmly connected via its socket to the bottom of the housing 2 and thus not held together with the reflector 8 vertically displaceable in the housing 2.
- the reflector 8, however, is held in the housing 2 via a slide bearing 17, wherein the slide bearing 17 allows a vertical movement of the reflector 8 in the main illumination direction A and counter to the main illumination direction A. Due to the aforementioned displaceability, the reflector 8 can either be moved further into the housing 2 or further out of it, as a result of the statically arranged luminous means 4 changing the illumination characteristic of the illustrated luminaire with respect to the direct light produced and at the same time the size of the reflection element 15 brightened ceiling area can be influenced.
- Fig. 6 shows one Fig. 4 in terms of their operation corresponding embodiment with partially or completely transparent reflector 8, but according to Fig. 6 a stepped reflector 8 is used.
- This step shape of the reflector 8 causes on its outer side two annular bearing surfaces 16 are formed on the respective reflection elements 15 can be placed.
- These reflection elements 15 have as well as the reflection element 15 according to Fig. 4 a central, circular recess, which corresponds to the outer diameter of the reflector 8 the respective relevant area.
- the outer diameter of the upper annular reflection element 15 is dimensioned to be smaller than the outer diameter of the lower reflection element 15.
- three or more stages could be provided for the support of a corresponding number of reflection elements on the reflector.
- a third reflection element could be arranged in the lower end region of the reflector 8.
- the three reflection elements together can take on an additional Ausblendfunktion in this case, since they can completely prevent under appropriate viewing angles that light from the lamp itself or directly from the outside of the translucent or transparent reflector enters the eye of the beholder.
- both reflection elements 15 contribute to a ceiling illumination in accordance with in conjunction with Fig. 4 described principle, since both reflection elements 15 are applied via the partially transparent reflector 8 coming from the light source 4 light.
