Claims (10)

1. Discharge assembly for the flushing water tank of a WC basin, for a cistern (2) having a bottom (3) with a discharge opening (4) and a lid (5) with a central opening (6) to receive the operating member (16), said assembly comprising:
- a body mounted rigidly on the bottom (3),
- a valve (7) carried by a vertical tube (8) displaceable axially in the body of the arrangement,
- a rod (9), offset relatively to the axis of the tube, to control the displacements of said tube,
- a lever (12) to operate the rod, pivoted on a horizontal axis,
- a stem (15) to operate the lever, disposed substantially along the axis of the tube (8), mechanically connected on the one hand to the lever and on the other hand to the operating member (16), and guided in a sleeve (18) fixedly mounted on the cistern and incapable of transverse movement,
characterised in that:
- the control member (16) rocks between two stable positions, one corresponding to the opening and the other the closure of the valve,
- the mechanical connection (19) between the stem (15) and the lever (12) is effected by means of a pin (20) carried by the stem and sliding in a slot (21) in the lever (12),

and in that the mechanical connection (29) between the stem (15) and the operating member (16) is achieved through the intermediary of a rocking piece (28), fixed to the operating member (16) and cooperating with a rail (30) carried by the stem.
2. Discharge assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that the operating member (16) is mounted to rock about a horizontal axis (31).
3. Discharge assembly according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the rocking piece is offset relatively to the axis of rocking (31) of the operating member and the axis (32) of the control stem (15).
4. Discharge assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that the slot (21) is situated between the pivotal axis (17) of the lever and its opposite end pivotally connected to the rod (9).
5. Discharge assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that the stem comprises a nut (23) movable along a threaded portion of the stem (15) and carrying the connecting pin (20), for adjusting the distance of the "stem-lever" connection (19) from the "stem-operating member" connection (29), according to the dimensions of the reservoir (1).
6. Discharge assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that the lever comprises two identical parallel arms (33), one on either side of the stem (5).
7. Discharge assembly according to claim 1, characterised in that at the end of the discharge, the automatic closure (27˝) of the valve causes, through the mechanical connection "tube-rod-lever-stem-rocking piece", return of the operating member (16) to the position of closure (27).
8. Discharge assembly according to claim 2, characterised in that the operating member (16) comprises a circular base (34) in proximity to the axis of rocking and an upper concave hemispherical face symmetrical with respect to the axis such that in each of the two positions of the member a raised face is presented against which finger pressure can be applied to effect the rocking, while the other face is continuous with the immediately surrounding surface.
9. Discharge assembly according to claim 1,
characterised in that:
- the upper end of the body (42) of the assembly comprises a generally cylindrical bell (24), fixed in height, provided with a threaded opening (25) to receive the sleeve (18),
- and the sleeve (18) has, on the one hand, an external thread (41) to cooperate with that of the bell, and, on the other hand, a surmounting head (43) which engages the external farce of the lid (5), in such manner that the sleeve is mounted and fixed by screwing into the bell (24).
10. Discharge assembly according to claim 9, characterised in that the screw thread (41) of the sleeve and the screw thread (40) of the stem (15) are coaxial and of the same pitch, to enable simultaneous fitting of the stem (15) in the nut (23) and the sleeve (18) in the bell (24).
