Abstract
"NOVO MATERIAL DE VIDRO E MéTODO DE PREPARAçãO DO DITO VIDRO". A invenção refere-se a um vidro de nitreto de fórmula geral <244>~ x~<225>~ <sym>~Y~ z~, onde <244> é um modificador de vidro compreendendo pelo menos um elemento eletro-positivo, <225> compreende Si, B, Ge, Ga e/ou Al; e <sym> é N ou N em conjunto com o, onde a razão atómica de O:N fica no intervalo de 65:35 a 0:100, a um método para a preparação de um vidro de nitreto e à utilização do vidro. Os resultados mostram claramente que as propriedades físicas e mecânicas dos vidros de óxido tais como dureza, módulo elástico, resistência à fratura e temperatura de transição de vidro são aperfeiçoadas/aumentadas, quando a estrutura atómica da rede é reforçada pela substituição de átomos de oxigênio por átomos de nitrogênio. Além disto, os resultados mostram que pode ser obtido um índice de refração muito alto.
