Abstract

Extracción de litio de recursos líquidos tales como salmueras naturales y sintéticas, soluciones lixiviadas de minerales, y productos reciclados. Reivindicación 1: Una partícula de intercambio iónico recubierta, caracterizada porque comprende un material intercambiador iónico y un material de recubrimiento. Reivindicación 2: La partícula de intercambio iónico recubierta de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, caracterizada porque el material de intercambio iónico o comprende un óxido, un fosfato, un oxifluoruro, un fluorofosfato o combinaciones de los mismos y el material de recubrimiento comprende un carburo, un nitruro, un óxido, un fosfato, un fluoruro, un polímero, carbono, un material carbonoso, o combinaciones de los mismos. Reivindicación 7: Una estructura porosa para el intercambio iónico caracterizada porque comprende: a) un soporte estructural; y b) una pluralidad de partículas que se pueden seleccionar entre partículas para intercambio iónico recubiertas, partículas para intercambio iónico no recubiertas, y una combinación de las mismas. Reivindicación 8: La estructura porosa de acuerdo con la reivindicación 7, caracterizada porque el soporte estructural comprende un polímero, un óxido, un fosfato, o combinaciones de los mismos.
