Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sleeve printing plate, and more particularly to a manufacturing technology for a sleeve printing plate for printing characters and image patterns on the surface of a can body of a can for drinking water.
- a printing apparatus that prints a printed image on the surface of a can body of a drinking water can, for example, as described in Patent Document 1, a resin printing plate wound around a peripheral surface of a cylindrical metal sleeve body An apparatus is used for printing on a cylindrical can body while rotating.
- a printing plate for use in the printing apparatus is used for flexographic printing, which is one of letterpress printing methods using liquid ink (water-based ink or UV ink). Recently, the printing plate is capable of engraving a high-precision printing relief (print pattern) by improving laser engraving and printing technology, and the demand is increasing.
- An example of a printing plate material that can be directly engraved by laser engraving is a nylon-based photosensitive resin.
- a photosensitive resin In order to use such a photosensitive resin as a printing plate, it is first necessary to cure the photosensitive resin by irradiating it with ultraviolet rays in order to have a predetermined strength. Then, a relief for printing (character or image pattern) to be printed on the can body is formed on the cured photosensitive resin by engraving with a CO 2 laser.
- Two plate-shaped printing plates having the above-described configuration are prepared, and the sleeve printing plate is configured by winding and arranging these on the peripheral surface of a cylindrical metal sleeve body.

- the printing apparatus is configured to temporarily transfer the ink according to the printing relief on the printing plate onto a blanket configured in a cylindrical shape, and then print on the can body (so-called offset printing). .
- the photosensitive resin cured by ultraviolet rays tends to form a cross-linked chain in a layer form within its thickness. For this reason, when the photosensitive resin after exposure is engraved with a strong CO 2 laser, the bond in the thickness direction with few bonds of the cross-linked chain is broken by heating and drying instantaneously, and a layered crack is generated. It was.
- FIG. 7 is an explanatory view showing an enlarged structure of the printing relief of the sleeve printing plate according to the prior art.
- a layer called “slip coat” is formed on the surface of a printing plate made of a general photosensitive resin.
- Laser engraving is a plate making method that engraves light with light energy, so if a thin film layer exists on the surface of the printing plate to be engraved, laser interference occurs unless the thickness is the same as the wavelength or an integer multiple thereof. However, laser diffusion occurred. This caused the printing plate to be heated, dried and cracked.
- the present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and is capable of forming an image pattern to be printed on a printing material by laser engraving without causing cracks or chipping in a printing plate made of a photosensitive resin.

- the heat treatment and the heat dissipation treatment are performed when the sleeve printing plate is mounted on a laser engraving apparatus and a printing apparatus. It is characterized by being held in a cylindrical shape with substantially the same diameter.
- a protective layer called “slip coat” is formed on a printing plate made of a general photosensitive resin, and the protective layer is peeled off by washing with water. Can do. By peeling off the slip coat, the occurrence of laser interference and laser diffusion can be reduced. In addition, heating, drying, or generation of cracks due to this can be suppressed.
- the inside is activated by heat treatment and heat dissipation treatment, and in particular, by promoting cross-linking in the thickness direction, a network-like cross-linking structure is formed and a cross-linking structure that is also resistant to laser heat is created.
- the exposure is performed in a cylindrical shape that is the same as that at the time of engraving and printing, so that it is cured so as not to generate stress inside the printing plate as much as possible. It has the effect of reducing cracks and chips.
- the heat treatment and the heat dissipation treatment are carried out by holding a cylindrical shape with substantially the same diameter as the state in which the sleeve printing plate is mounted on the laser engraving apparatus and the printing apparatus, By heat-treating the printing plate in substantially the same state as that mounted on the printing apparatus, a network-like cross-linked structure can be formed, and there is an effect that a plate material having an extremely high laser engraving suitability can be obtained.
- the present invention relates to a sleeve printing plate provided with a printing plate made of a photosensitive resin which is disposed on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical sleeve body and which can form an image pattern to be printed on a printing material (can barrel) by laser engraving.
