Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de durcissement par pressage continu. Le procédé comprend: une étape de coulage de brames consistant à couler en continu de l'acier en fusion affiné dans un four électrique et un haut fourneau afin de produire des brames, suivie du réchauffage et du laminage à chaud des brames pour préparer une feuille d'acier laminée à chaud; une étape de découpage à la presse consécutive à l'étape de coulage des brames pour transférer la feuille d'acier laminée à chaud vers une ébauche, à travers un four étanche, puis découper à la presse la feuille d'acier laminée à chaud; et une étape de durcissement par pressage consécutive à l'étape de découpage à la presse pour transférer la feuille d'acier laminée à chaud vers un moule de presse afin de la mouler par pressage. Le recours à une étape supplémentaire de réchauffage est superflu, puisque le procédé de l'invention permet d'injecter immédiatement la feuille d'acier produite à haute température par laminage à chaud à l'étape de durcissement par pressage. Cette simplification du processus permet de réduire les coûts.
