DESIGN FOR THE EXTERIOR OF A RESIDENCE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,558, dated January '7, 1890.
Application filed December 9, 1889. Serial No. 338,152. Term of patent 3% you-s.

A residence embodying my design is generally rectangular on the ground plan, and comprises a first and second story and an attic, the Whole being surmounted by gable roofs. The front A of the first story is substentially flat. At one side of the front A, and extending around for a distance upon the side, is a porch B. The side 0 of the first story has a projecting portion a, and upon the portion a is shown an oriel bay D. The second story has a. substantially flat portion E at the frontand a substantially fiat portion F at one side. To the rear of the portion F is a. projecting portion G, which overhangs the portion crof the first story. Between the portion a and the portion G are cantalevers b. The portions E F are snrmounted by a gable roof H, which extends downwardly to the top of the second story. The portion G is surmounted by a gable roof I, extending at about right angles to the root H. The roof I does not extend downwardly quite so far as does the roof H.
What I claim is The design for the exterior of a residence, substantially as herein shown and described.
