Description

The present invention relates to a method and a device for repairing underwater parts of a floating vessel by partial docking.

En slik fremgangsmåte er kjent for reparasjon av f.eks. et akterskip eller propell-lagringen til f.eks. store handels- Such a method is known for repairing e.g. a stern ship or the propeller storage for e.g. large trade

og passasjerskip (DE-OS 2.612.994).and passenger ships (DE-OS 2,612,994).

The present invention concerns the application of this principle for offshore platforms, as the size of such floating, partially submerged structures requires very large dock facilities, and work takes a long time, or it entails high costs to use two submersible, large pontoons.

Formålet med den foreliggende oppfinnelse er å komme fremThe purpose of the present invention is to arrive at

til en løsning av disse problemer.to a solution to these problems.

I henhold til oppfinnelsen består løsningen i prinsippet avAccording to the invention, the solution basically consists of

Denne ulempe unngås i henhold til oppfinnelsen ved at bestemte restvannmengder, istedet for å pumpes over bord, pumpes inn i utligningstanker anordnet langs sidene av den dokklignende anordning. that a small, dock-like device is used, designed for docking only a float or a hull on the platform. This is not possible with normal docks or pontoons, because when one side is raised, the platform will have too strong an impact side. This disadvantage is avoided according to the invention by certain amounts of residual water, instead of being pumped overboard, pumped into equalization tanks arranged along the sides of the dock-like device.

The method and device according to the invention are defined in the subsequent patent claims.

Fig. 2a og b viser anordningen fylt med vann, d.v.s. i nedsenket tilstand. The invention will be explained in more detail in the following, with reference to the attached drawings Fig. la and b show a floating dock-like device according to the invention, placed along a hull on a platform to be repaired. Fig. 2a and b show the device filled with water, i.e. in a submerged state.

Fig. 3a og b viser anordningen ført inn under skroget.Fig. 3a and b show the device inserted under the hull.

Fig. 4a og b viser anordningen i renset tilstand, slik at skroget er hevet noen centimeter. Fig. 4a and b show the device in a cleaned state, so that the hull is raised a few centimeters. It is possible to walk on the device. Fig. 5a to 5c show the construction of the device seen in longitudinal section, from above and in perspective.

Fig. 6a to 6h show docking of a jackable rig.

Fig. 1 shows the device 5 placed along a hull 2, which is connected to the platform 1 by means of stabilization columns 3. The device 5 is held in this position by tugboats (not shown). All tanks and the device are empty. The bottom beams 12 are covered with wooden beams. Fig. 2 shows the device 5 filled with water, the position and depth being controlled by means of stabilization tanks 9. Mooring cables are attached to the hull 2, and tugboats help to maneuver the device. The device 5 can also be pushed under the hull 2 from the inside, especially when anchor lines have been brought out. Fig. 3 shows that the device 5 has been brought into the correct position under the hull 2 by means of lines and tugboats. The stabilization tank 9 and the equalization tank 8 are emptied. The upper edge 7 will thereby protrude above the water for a short time. The device 5 is lowered until the hull 2 is raised a few centimetres. As shown in fig. 4, the hull 2 is raised a few centimeters. The rest of the water in the device 5 is pumped into the equalization tanks 8 and the stabilization tanks 9. The device 5 is thereby laid dry internally, but the floating position of the floating structure does not change.

Fig. 5a - 5c viser konstruksjonen av anordningen 5. Fig. 5a - 5c show the construction of the device 5.

6). The offshore platform can be designed as well as a partially submerged platform or as a jackable platform 14 (Fig. 6).
