Abstract
Oppfinnelsen gjelder separasjon av metaller i Fe-bærende sinkblekingsrester, særlig nøytrale og svakt syrebleke rester. Prosessen omfatter trinnene av: - å fremstille agglomerater som inneholder ved siden av sinkblekingsresten minst 5 vekt% karbon og 2-10 vekt% S; - å dampe av de gitte agglomeratene i en statisk seng ved en temperatur over 1250?C hvorved det produseres en redusert Fe-bærende fase og Zn-bærende damper; og - å ekstrahere de gitte Zn-bærende dampene. Det høye S-innholdet av føden tillater en relativt høy driftstemperatur uten produksjon av smeltede faser. Dette garanterer rask reduksjon og dampkinetikk og tillater anvendelsen av en kompakt teknologi slik som en statisk sengovn.
