Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un microorganismo recombinante para la producción de metionina mejorada, caracterizado porque comprende: a) al menos una modificación para producir metionina a partir de glucosa como fuente principal de carbono mediante la fermentación; y b) al menos una modificación para mejorar la importación de glucosa, en donde la importación de glucosa se incrementa en comparación con el microorganismo sin las modificaciones especificadas mediante la sobreexpresión del gen ptsG que codifica para la enzima PTS IICBGlc y la atenuación del gen dgsA que codifica un regulador transcripcional, en donde la expresión de al menos uno de los siguientes genes se atenúa: metJ, pykA, purU, o udhA,y en donde dicho microorganismo es Escherichia coli.
