一次粒子の平均粒子径が95μmの食品添加物用炭酸水素ナトリウムの粉末(旭硝子社製)を8.8kg使用し、これに約4mm×8mmの氷砂糖様結晶であるチオ硫酸ナトリウム5水和物0.5kg、平均粒子径2.0μm、平均細孔半径8.24nm、細孔容積0.010cm3/gの合成A型ゼオライト(日本ビルダー社製)0.2kgを均一に混合し、ロールプレス式圧縮成形機(ターボ工業社製、商品名:ローラーコンパクターWP型、ロール外径:230mm、ロール長:80mm)を使用して線圧36.8kN/cmで圧縮成形し、炭酸水素ナトリウム、チオ硫酸ナトリウム5水和物及び合成ゼオライトの混合物であるフレーク状の成形体を得た。
例1において、造粒物を炭酸水素ナトリウムのみに変えた以外は、例1と同様にして試験を行った。本造粒物の平均粒子径は2.1mmであった。粒子径が4mm以下の粒子が質量基準で100%、粒子径が1.0mm以下の粒子が質量基準で21.1%であった。充填層高を100mmとするように充填したとき、充填容積は70.7cm3で、充填質量は67g、充填密度で0.92g/cm3であった。
例1と同様に、充填ガラス製反応管のガス出口に、リトマス試験紙と、ヨウ素ヨウ化カリウムでんぷん紙を入れたガラス容器を設置したが、開始直後は何の変化もなかった。
例1の造粒物の代わりに、添着活性炭(武田薬品工業社製、商品名:粒状白鷺XRC)を使用した以外は、例1と同様に試験を行った。平均粒子径は1.4mmで、粒子径が4mm以下の粒子が質量基準で100%、粒子径が1.0mm以下の粒子が質量基準で10.3%であった。充填層高を100mmとするように充填したとき、充填容積は70.7cm3で、充填質量は43g、充填密度で0.61g/cm3であった。処理後のガスを分析したところ、塩素ガス検出器は作動せず、Cl2濃度は0.01体積ppm以下であった。
例1と同じ造粒物を例1〜3と同様に、充填層高が100mmとなるように充填した。充填容積は70.7cm3で、充填質量は82.0g、充填密度は1.16g/cm3であった。ここに標準状態(0℃、0.10MPa)で、流量が毎分424cm3、組成がBCl30.6体積%、Cl22.4体積%、N297体積%のガスを、温度25℃にて、常圧下で底部から注入した。
例1と同様に、充填ガラス製反応管のガス出口に、リトマス試験紙と、ヨウ素ヨウ化カリウムでんぷん紙を入れたガラス容器を設置したが、開始直後は何の変化もなかった。また、一酸化炭素も検出されなかった。
消石灰8.8kg、ベントナイト0.2kg、チオ硫酸ナトリウム5水和物0.5kgを均一に混合し、例1と同じ方法で成形、架砕、篩分けを実施して造粒物を得た。本造粒物の平均粒子径は1.6mmで、粒子径が4mm以下の粒子が質量基準で100%、粒子径が1.41mm以下の粒子が質量基準で5.1%であった。

Claims (10)
- F2、Cl2、Br2、I2、及び、加水分解してハロゲン化水素又は次亜ハロゲン酸を生成する化合物からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種であるハロゲン系ガスを含有するガスと、造粒物の全質量に対して80〜99.9質量%のアルカリ金属塩基及び0.1〜20質量%のチオ硫酸塩を含有する造粒物とを、水の存在下で接触させて前記ハロゲン系ガスを除去するハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属塩基は、アルカリ金属の、炭酸水素塩、炭酸塩、酸化物及び水酸化物からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種である請求項1に記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属塩基は、炭酸水素ナトリウム及び/又は炭酸水素カリウムである請求項1又は2に記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 前記アルカリ金属塩基及び/又は前記チオ硫酸塩は水和物である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 前記造粒物は、無機酸化物よりなる多孔質体を1〜20質量%含有する請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 前記造粒物は、粒子径が4mm以下の粒子が質量基準で90%以上、かつ粒子径が1.0mm以下の粒子が質量基準で10%以下である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 前記造粒物は、粒子径1.4mm以上2.0mm未満の粒子の平均硬度が5N以上、又は、粒子径2.0mm以上2.8mm未満の粒子の平均硬度が15N以上、又は、粒子径2.8mm以上の粒子の平均硬度が25N以上である、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 充填密度が0.7g/cm3以上である前記造粒物を用いた請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のハロゲン系ガスの除去方法によりハロゲン系ガスを除去する半導体の製造方法。
- 造粒物の全質量に対して80〜99.9質量%のアルカリ金属塩基及び0.1〜20質量%のチオ硫酸塩を含む造粒物からなるハロゲン系ガスの除去剤。
