Description
Claims (20)
- 1.眼の角膜の光学帯において角膜の層の間に外科的に埋め込む、屈折誤差矯正 用の角膜インプラントであって、生体相容性の材料で構成される一またはそれ以 上のレンズを含み、このレンズは角膜光学帯の全体がこのレンズによって覆われ ることのないような大きさまたは配置を有し、前記レンズの径は前記光学帯の径 よりかなり小さく、このため多重屈折率と多焦点性を与えることができるインプ ラント。
- 2.前記レンズの径は角膜光学帯の平均径より小さく、角膜を通る栄養分とガス の通路は前記レンズの周囲に位置する請求の範囲第1項記載のインプラント。
- 3.前記レンズの径は約1mmないし約3mmである請求の範囲第2項記載のイ ンプラント。
- 4.前記レンズの二個またはそれ以上が角膜光学帯に埋め込まれる請求の範囲第 2項記載のインプラント。
- 5.前記レンズは瞳孔を取り囲む環状形をしている請求の範囲第1項記載のイン プラント。
- 6.前記環状レンズの外径は、角膜光学帯の平均径より小さい請求の範囲第5項 記載のインプラント。
- 7.前記環状レンズの外径は、角膜光学帯の平均径と等しいかまたは大きい請求 の範囲第5項記載のインプラント。
- 8.前記レンズは正または負のジオブトルを有する請求の範囲第1項記載のイン プラント。
- 9.前記レンズの屈折率は隣接する角膜組織のそれより小さいかまたは大きい請 求の範囲第1項記載のインプラント。
- 10.前記生体相容性の材料は、ヒドロゲル、ポリマー材料、セルロースエステ ルおよびシリコーンからなる群より選ばれる請求の範囲第1項記載のインプラン ト。
- 11.前記ポリマー材料は、ポリスルホン、ポリエステルスルホン、ポリアリー ルスルホン、ポリカーボネート、フルオロポリマーおよびポリメチルメタクリレ ートからなる群より選ばれる請求の範囲第10項記載のインプラント。
- 12.前記矯正されるべき屈折誤差は、近視、老眼、遠視および無水晶体症から なる群より選ばれる請求の範囲第1項記載のインプラント。
- 13.患者の屈折誤差を治療する方法であって、a)角膜の周縁部に平行に、基 質に切込みを入れる工程と、b)角膜の中央部または中央部の周辺において、前 記切り込みの中に嚢を形成する工程と、 c)前記嚢に請求の範囲第1項ないし第12項のいずれか一項記載のインプラン トを1個またはそれ以上挿入する工程と、d)前記切込みを縫合糸もしくは他の 切開部閉止手段によりまたはこれらの手段によらず治癒させる工程を含む方法。
- 14.前記基質への切り込みは長さが約2〜約3mmで、基質の厚みの約50〜 95%の深さまで形成する請求の範囲第13項記載の方法。
- 15.請求の範囲第2項記載のインプラントを患者の角膜基質に埋め込む屈折誤 差の治療方法であって、前記レンズが正のジオブトルを有する方法。
- 16.請求の範囲第2項記載のインプラントを患者の角膜基質に埋め込む屈折誤 差の治療方法であって、前記レンズが負のジオブトルを有する方法。
- 17.請求の範囲第2項記載のインプラントを患者の角膜基質に埋め込む屈折誤 差の治療方法であって、前記レンズがその周囲の基質組織の屈折率より大きいか または小さい屈折率を有する方法。
- 18.請求の範囲第5項記載のインプラントを患者の角膜基質に埋め込む屈折誤 差の治療方法であって、前記レンズが正のジオブトルを有する方法。
- 19.請求の範囲第5項記載のインプラントを患者の角膜基質に埋め込む屈折誤 差の治療方法であって、前記レンズが負のジオブトルを有する方法。
- 20.請求の範囲第5項記載のインプラントを患者の角膜基質に埋め込む屈折誤 差の治療方法であって、前記レンズがその周囲の基質組織の屈折率より大きいか または小さい屈折率を有する方法。
