Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品に関するもの
であり、特に吸収性物品の防漏機能及び吸収性能を改良
するため着用者の動きに適合する上面シートを設けた吸
収性物品に関するものである。
〔従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題〕使い捨
ておむつなどの吸収性物品の主たる機能は、着用者の分
泌物が衣類などの着用者と接触する物品を汚染させるこ
となく、前記分泌物を吸収性物品が吸収できることであ
る。
従来の使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品においては、吸
収体の上方に配置された液体透過性シートは概ね吸収体
に固定されている。中には特公昭５３−２６１７５号公
報に開示されている使い捨ておむつに示されるように、
積層構造を有しその上に堆積した***物を簡単に処分す
るため剥離することのできる型の液体透過性トップシー
トがある。しかし、このトップシートは全面接着されて
いるために、着用者の動きに対して、肌に当接している
トップシートが追従せず、肌から離間しやすい。また、
特公昭５４−２９９３２号公報に開示されている使い捨
ておむつに示されるように、分離可能な中央部分を有し
その上に排出された***物をその中央部分とともに廃棄
し得るようにした内側シートがあるが、このシートも液
体吸収性パッドの全周辺部に沿って固着されているので
上記の如き欠点を有する。
以上のように吸収体の上方に配置される液透過性シート
であって、その両端部分が吸収体もしくはトップシート
もしくは液不透過性バックシートなどと固定され、中間
部分が全幅区域において固定されていないようなシート
を有する吸収性物品は見当たらない。
また、従来の使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品において
、***物の脚部よりの防漏手段として、吸収性物品の吸
収体側部に延出するサイドフラップ部に弾性部材を設置
し、該弾性部材の伸縮作用により該サイドフラップの脚
部への密着をはかったものが一般によく知られている。
また実開昭５８−１８５２０号公報や特開昭５９−５３
７０２号公報記載のように、サイドフラップ部にポケッ
ト構造や防漏壁を有する使い捨ておむつもある。
しかしながら、一般に、吸収性物品の具備している吸収
体は比較的変形が起こり易く、吸収体が変形した場合に
吸収体は着用者の股部から離れ易く密着できなくなる傾
向がある。この場合に、吸収体の側部分に配置されてい
る前記フラップなどは、吸収体の動きに追従する傾向が
強く、前記フラップなどが着用者の股部又は及び脚部か
ら離れる場合があり、前記フラップなどの防漏機能を損
なうことがある。また、吸収体が着用者の股部から離れ
密着できなくなると、少量の尿、便などの分泌物でも漏
出する場合があり、吸収体の吸収性能を十分に発揮でき
なくなる。
本発明の目的は、前記のような、吸収体が着用者の股部
から離れることにより着用者の分泌物が漏出する問題を
解決し、吸収体が着用者の股部から離れることがあって
も分泌物の漏出がないような吸収性物品を提供すること
にある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明者らはこのような従来の吸収性物品の欠点を改良
し、尿および便等、特に、***速度が速く粘度が低い下
痢便や軟便、あるいは多量に***された尿、便等に対す
る防漏性に優れた吸収性物品を見出すべく鋭意検討を積
み重ねた結果、縦方向の両端部分が固定されていて中間
部分が固定されていないような液透過性シートを吸収体
の上方のトップシートの上面に配置させることにより、
この液透過性シートが着用者の股部から離れることなく
密着でき、上記課題を解決しうることを見出し本発明を
完成するに到った。
即ち本発明は、液不透過性バックシート、液透過性トッ
プシート、前記両シートの間に位置する吸収体及び前記
トップシートの上面に位置する液透過性上面シートを有
する吸収性物品において、前記上面シートの縦方向の両
端部分が固定され、中間部分が固定されていないことを
特徴とする吸収性物品を提供するものである。
本発明の吸収性物品は、吸収体の上方のトップシートの
上面に配置される液透過性上面シートの縦方向の両端部
分が、吸収体もしくは液透過性トップシートもしくは液
不透過性バックシートなどと固定され、中間部分が全幅
区域において固定されていないことにより、液透過性上
面シートの中間部分が吸収体の変形にほとんど影響され
ずに着用者の股部に密着され易（なる。
また特に本発明においては、前記上面シートの縦方向の
長さを自然体において前記トップシートの縦方向の長さ
よりも短くすることが好ましい。このようにすることに
より、その固定されていない上面シートと前記トップシ
ートの間に空間が生じ、そのため尿、便等の***物の排
泄速度を緩和することができ、前記トップシート上での
***物の拡散を抑え、漏れを防止することができる。
本発明の吸収性物品とは、身体の分泌物を吸収する物品
であり、更に詳しくは、身体から排出される種々の分泌
物を吸収するために着用者の身体に当接又は近接して配
置され、使用後に放棄される使い捨ておむつ等の物品を
言う。ここに、おむつとは、一般に幼児や失禁者などが
胴体下部に着用する衣類を言うが、本発明は失禁者用ブ
リーフなどの物品にも適用されるものと理解されたい。
以下、本発明を図面により詳細に説明する。
尚、以下の説明において、本発明の好ましい実施態様と
して使い捨ておむつについてのべるが、本発明は使い捨
ておむつに限定されるものではない。
第１図は、本発明に係わる使い捨ておむっ１１を平坦に
引き伸ばした状態の平面図であり、このおむつ１１の構
造を一層明瞭に示すために構造の一部を切り欠き、着用
者と接触する面を上にして示した図である。
第１図に示すように、おむつ１１は、液不透過性バック
シート１３、液透過性トップシート１２、吸収体１４及
び液透過性上面シー）１５を有し、背側ウェスト部２１
と、腹側ウェスト部２３と、股部２２と、サイドフラッ
プ２４とを含む。更に、一対のテープファスナー１６と
、サイドフラップ２４内にある弾性体１７とを有しても
良く、これによりおむつとしての機能及び性能が向上さ
れる。
このようなおむつ１１の構成は、液不透過性バックシー
ト１３と液透過性トップシート１２の間に吸収体１４が
設置され、液透過性トップシート１２の上面に液透過性
上面シート１５が設置される。
更に好ましい実施態様においては、サイドフラップ２４
のバックシート１３とトップシート１２の間に弾性体１
７を備え、一対のテープファスナー１６がサイドフラッ
プ２４の背側ウェスト部２１に固定されている。
おむつ１１は概ね縦方向に長く、バックシート１３とト
ップシート１２は、近似の長さ及び幅を有する。バック
シート１３としては、一般に厚さが１０から６０μの低
密度の不透明のポリエチレンシートが使用されるが、特
にシャリ音が小さく、ムレ、カブレを起こさせにくい蒸
気透過性で液不透過性の多孔シートが好ましい。ここで
「シャリ音」とはシートなどが揉まれるときに発生する
音を言う。トップシート１２としては、一般に坪量が１
５から４０ｇ／ｍ”の不織布が使用されるが、液透過性
であればフィルム、ネット等でも差し支えなく、特に周
囲が撥水性で中央部が親水性のものが好ましい。
弾性体１７としては、一般にポリウレタン、天然ゴムな
どを紐、リボンなどの形状にしたものや水に濡れてから
伸縮性を発現する糸等が用いられ、これをおむつの左右
のサイドフラップにそれぞれ１本以上、概ね５本までの
本数で設置する。弾性体１７の取り付は長さはおむつの
長さの約３０から約６０％であり、伸長度合は自由長の
約１．３倍から約２．０倍が好ましい。
吸収体１４としては、一般に針葉樹のクラフトパルプを
粉砕した綿状体を吸水紙で覆ったものが用いられ、特に
高吸収性ポリマーを含ませたものが好ましい。綿状体の
重量は一般に約１０ｇから４０ｇである。吸収体に使用
される高吸収性ポリマーの存在位置としては吸収体中の
上、中、下層あるいはパルプと混合でもかまわず、高吸
収性ポリマー粒子としては、デンプン系、セルロース系
、合成ポリマー系が挙げられ、例えば、デンプン−アク
リル酸（塩）グラフト共重合体、デンプン−アクリロニ
トリル共重合体のケン化物、ナトリウムカルボキシルメ
チルセルロースの架橋物、アクリル酸（塩）重合体など
が適当である。かかる高吸収性ポリマー粒子は自重の２
０倍以上の液吸収性保持力を有しゲル化する性質を有す
るものである。
液透過性上面シート１５は、トップシート１２の上面に
あり、おむつ１１の縦方向の両端部２５．２６において
前記トップシート１２と固定されていて、中間部は固定
されずに自由部分２７を形成している。上面シート１５
の幅は、おむつ１１の幅の約３０％から約７０％が好ま
しく、特に吸収体１４の股部分２２の最小幅より狭い方
が、吸収体１４の吸収性能を有効に活用でき、好ましい
。上面シート１５の長さは、おむつ１１と同一の長さで
なくても良く、実質的に短い方が好ましい。特におむつ
の自然体において、上面シート１５の縦方向の長さをり
、、液透過性トップシート１２の縦方向の長さをＬ２と
すると、Ｌ、とＬ２の関係はＬ＋＜Ｌｚであることが好
ましく、更に好ましくは０．３Ｌ２＜Ｌ、＜０．９８Ｌ
２、特に好ましくは０．５Ｌ２＜Ｌｌ　＜０．９０Ｌ２
テある。Ｌ、が０．３Ｌ２より小さければ、装着性が著
しく低下し、Ｌ、が０．９８Ｌ２より大きければ、前記
おむつ端部に固定されていて中間部が固定されていない
上面シートと液透過性トップシートの間の空間が少なく
なり排尿排便速度の緩和効果が生しにくくなる。上面シ
ー目５の平面形状は、上面シート１５が着用者の股部に
良く密着できるために自由部分２７の幅が狭く端部２５
．２６の幅が広い砂時計型が好ましいが、端部２５．２
６の幅と自由部分２７の幅が同じであっても良く、自由
部分２７の幅が端部２５．２６の幅より広くてもかまわ
ない。上面シート１５の素材としては、不織布、網目状
シート、多孔を有するシート、弾性を有するシートなど
の液透過性のシートが用いられる。
第２図は、第１図のＡ−Ａ線断面を着用状態で示す断面
図であり、液透過性上面シート１５はおむつ１１の端部
２５．２６において固定手段２８．２９により液透過性
トップシート１２に固定されていて、自由部分２７は固
定されていない。自由部分２７の長さは、おむつ１１を
平坦に引き伸ばした状態における固定手段２８と２９の
内側端間の距離より実質的に短くすることが好ましく、
このようにすることにより第２図に示すように、自由部
分２７は吸収体１４から遊離する。
固定手段２８．２９の位置は、おむつ１１の縦方向の前
後２箇所にあり少なくとも自由部分２７が存在する位置
になければならなく、おむつ１１の縦方向の前後端から
約１０ｍ「から約５０ｍｍの範囲が好ましい。固定手段
２８．２９の幅は、上面シート１５の前幅と近似である
ことが望ましく、固定手段２８、２９の面積は、特に限
定されない。固定手段２８、２９におけるト・ンブシ一
ト１２と」二面シート１５の剥離力は、少なくとも上面
シート１５が着用中に剥離されることなく、分泌物の廃
棄などのために行う剥離処理のときにほとんど弱体化せ
ずに剥離できる程度が好ましい。固定手段２８．２９の
具体的方法は、ホン１−メルト接着、熱接着、超音波接
着、縫合、フックとループの組の合わせなどがある。
第１図及び第２図においては、液透過性トップシート１
２の上に液透過性上面シート１５があり、トップシート
１２がおむつ１１の全面に配置されているが、トップシ
ート１２は上面シート１５の下の全面積に存在しなくて
も良い。この場合、上面シート１５の固定手段２８．２
９の一部はハックシート１３と連携することになること
もある。
〔実施例〕
以下、実施例により、本発明を更に詳細に説明するが、
本発明はこれら実施例に限定されるものではない。
比較例１ 液透過性の１−ツブシートとしてポリエチレン／ポリプ
ロピレン繊維よりなる不織布（３５ｇ／ｍ２）を、吸収
体としてフラッフパルプと高吸収性ポリマー（ポリアク
リル酸Ｎａ架橋体）との複合体（縮３９０　ｍｍＸ横１
５０　ｍｍ）　、液不透過性のハックシートとしてポリ
エチレンフィルム（厚さ４０μ）を、またレック部弾性
材としてポリウレタンフィルムをそれぞれ用いて、縦４
５０　ｍｍ　（Ｌ２）　、横３００　ｍｍのおむつを作
製した。
実施例１ 比較例１のおむつのトップシートの上面に、上面シート
として熱融着により作製したポリエチレン／ポリプロピ
レン繊維よりなる縦３９０　ｍｍ（Ｌｌ　＝０．８７Ｘ
Ｌ２）　、横１８０　ｍｍの不織布（２５ｇ／ｍ”）を
用い、吸収体上面を完全におおうように縦方向両端部を
ホットメルト接着剤により固定しておむつとした。
実施例２ 上面シートとしてウォーターニードリング法によって作
製したポリエステル繊維よりなる不織布（２０ｇ／ｍ２
）を用いた以外は実施例１と同様のおむつを得た。
実施例３ 上面シートとして直径１ｍｍ未満の微小孔（約１００個
／ｃｍｌ）を有する穴あきポリエチレンフィルム（厚み
３０μ）を用いた以外は実施例１と同様のおむつを得た
。
尚、上面シートについては実施例１〜３とも非イオン性
界面活性剤により親水化処理を行った。
実施例１〜３及び比較例１で得られたおむつを、体重１
０ｋｇの乳児をもとに設計、製作したベビーモデルに装
着し、漏れ防止効果の評価を行った。
漏れ防止効果の評価は、３ｇ／秒、５ｇ／秒。
８ｇ／秒の速度で、試験液を１０ｇ毎に一括で注入し、
仰向は寝の姿勢で背中から漏れるまでに吸収した吸収量
（背漏れ値）、うつ伏せ寝の姿勢でおなかから漏れるま
でに吸収した吸収量（前漏れ値）を求めた。
結果を表１に示す。
表　　　　　　１ 〔発明の効果〕 本発明の吸収性物品によれば、液透過性上面シートの中
間部分が、吸収体と固定されていないため吸収体の変形
に影響されないで、着用者の股部に密着できることによ
り、尿、便などの着用者の分泌物を効果的に吸収でき防
漏機能及び吸収性能が改良できる。
本発明の吸収性物品が着用者の分泌物を吸収する工程を
詳細に説明すると、分泌物は液透過性上面シートの中間
部分に排出され、次に吸収　Ｇ 体に吸収される。液透過性上面シートの中間部分は着用
者に装着されることにより着用者の股部に密着され着用
者の分泌物をほとんど分散することなく集中して受は入
れることができ、着用者の分泌物を吸収体のほぼ中央部
分に案内して吸収体の吸収性能を有効に活用できる。
ここで、遊離している液透過性上面シートの中間部分と
吸収体の連携について詳細に説明すると、吸収体は液透
過性上面シートの中間部分の下方に位置するため、液透
過性上面シートの中間部分が受は入れた前記分泌物を受
は入れ吸収する。また、実施態様によっては液透過性上
面シートの中間部分はトップシートの部分領域と接触す
ることにより、中間部分が受は入れた分泌物を接触点を
介してすみやかに吸収体に導くことができる。
本発明の重要な効果は、はとんど独立して着用者の股部
に密着できる液透過性上面シートの中間部分があること
により、着用者の分泌物をほとんど分散することなく集
中して受は入れ、　Ｏ 吸収体のほぼ中央部分に案内して吸収性能を有効に活用
できることにある。更に、便などの固形物の収容能力が
あり防漏効果が優れていることである。更に本発明の別
の効果は、液透過性上面シートの両端部分の固定力を限
定することにより、液透過性上面シートをおむつ本体か
ら容易に分離でき、液透過性上面シートの上に分泌され
た分泌物とともに廃棄しうることである。

、第１図は本発明に係わる使い捨ておむつを平坦に引き
伸ばした状態の一部切欠平面図、第２図は第１図のＡ−
Ａ線断面を着用状態で示す断面図である。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １．液不透過性バックシート、液透過性トップシート、
    前記両シートの間に位置する吸収体及び前記トップシー
    トの上面に位置する液透過性上面シートを有する吸収性
    物品において、前記上面シートの縦方向の両端部分が固
    定され、中間部分が固定されていないことを特徴とする
    吸収性物品。
  2. ２．前記上面シートの縦方向の長さが、自然体において
    前記トップシートの縦方向の長さよりも短い請求項１記
    載の吸収性物品。
