Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品に関するも
のであり、特に吸収性物品の防漏機能及び吸収性能を改
良するため着用者の動きに適合する上面シートを設けた
吸収性物品に関するものである。
〔従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題〕
使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品の主たる機能は、着
用者の分泌物が衣類などの着用者と接触する物品を汚染
させることなく、前記分泌物を吸収性物品が吸収できる
ことである。
従来の使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品においては、
吸収体の上方に配置された液体透過性シートは概ね吸収
体に固定されている。中には特公昭53−26175号公報に
開示されている使い捨ておむつに示されるように、積層
構造を有しその上に堆積した***物を簡単に処分するた
め剥離することのできる型の液体透過性トップシートが
ある。しかし、このトップシートは全面接着されている
ために、着用者の動きに対して、肌に当接しているトッ
プシートが追従せず、肌から離間しやすい。また、特公
昭54−29932号公報に開示されている使い捨ておむつに
示されるように、分離可能な中央部分を有しその上に排
出された***物をその中央部分とともに廃棄し得るよう
にした内側シートがあるが、このシートも液体吸収性パ
ッドの全周辺部に沿って固着されているので上記の如き
欠点を有する。
以上のように吸収体の上方に配置される液透過性シー
トであって、その両端部分が吸収体もしくはトップシー
トもしくは液不透過性バックシートなどと固定され、中
間部分が全幅区域において固定さていないようなシート
を有する吸収性物品は見当たらない。
また、従来の使い捨ておむつなどの吸収性物品におい
て、***物の脚部よりの防漏手段として、吸収性物品の
吸収体側部に延出するサイドフラップ部に弾性部材を設
置し、該弾性部材の伸縮作用により該サイドフラップの
脚部への密着をはかったものが一般によく知られてい
る。また実開昭58−18520号公報や特開昭59−53702号公
報記載のように、サイドフラップ部にポケット構造や防
漏壁を有する使い捨ておむつもある。
しかしながら、一般に、吸収性物品の具備している吸
収体は比較的変形が起こり易く、吸収体が変形した場合
に吸収体は着用者の股部から離れ易く密着できなくなる
傾向がある。この場合に、吸収体の側部分に配置されて
いる前記フラップなどは、吸収体の動きに追従する傾向
が強く、前記フラップなどが着用者の股部又は及び脚部
から離れる場合があり、前記フラップなどの防漏機能を
損なうことがある。また、吸収体が着用者の股部から離
れ密着できなくなると、少量の尿、便などの分泌物でも
漏出する場合があり、吸収体の吸収性能を十分に発揮で
きなくなる。
本発明の目的は、上記のような、吸収体が着用者の股
部から離れることにより着用者の分泌物が漏出する問題
を解決し、吸収体が着用者の股部から離れることがあっ
ても分泌物の漏出がないような吸収性物品を提供するこ
とにある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明者らはこのような従来の吸収性物品の欠点を改
良し、尿および便等、特に、***速度が速く粘度が低い
下痢便や軟便、あるいは多量に***された尿、便等に対
する防漏性に優れた吸収性物品を見出すべく鋭意検討を
積み重ねた結果、縦方向の両端部分が固定されていて中
間部分が固定されていないような液透過性シートを吸収
体の上方のトップシートの上面に配置させることによ
り、この液透過性シートが着用者の股部から離れること
なく密着でき、上記課題を解決しうることを見出し本発
明を完成するに到った。
即ち本発明は、液不透過性バックシート、液透過性ト
ップシート、前記両シートの間に位置する吸収体及び前
記トップシートの上面に位置する液透過性上面シートを
有する吸収性物品において、前記上面シートは径が1mm
以上の多数の透孔を有さない不織布又はフィルムからな
り、その縦方向の両端部分が固定され、中間部分が固定
されていないことを特徴とする吸収性物品を提供するも
のである。
本発明の吸収性物品は、吸収体の上方のトップシート
の上面に配置される液透過性上面シートの縦方向の両端
部分が、吸収体もしくは液透過性トップシートもしくは
液不透過性バックシートなどと固定され、中間部分が全
幅区域において固定されていないことにより、液透過性
上面シートの中間部分が吸収体の変形にほとんど影響さ
れずに着用者の股部に密着され易くなる。
また特に本発明においては、前記上面シートの縦方向
の長さを自然体において前記トップシートの縦方向の長
さよりも短くすることが好ましい。このようにすること
により、その固定されていない上面シートと前記トップ
シートの間に空間が生じ、そのため尿、便等の***物の
***速度を緩和することができ、前記トップシート上で
の***物の拡散を抑え、漏れを防止することができる。
本発明の吸収性物品とは、身体の分泌物を吸収する物
品であり、更に詳しくは、身体から排出される種々の分
泌物を吸収するために着用者の身体に当接又は近接して
配置され、使用後に放棄される使い捨ておむつ等の物品
を言う。ここに、おむつとは、一般に幼児や失禁者など
が胴体下部に着用する衣類を言うが、本発明は失禁者用
ブリープなどの物品にも適用されるものと理解された
い。
以下、本発明を図面により詳細に説明する。
尚、以下の説明において、本発明の好ましい実施態様
として使い捨ておむつについてのべるが、本発明は使い
捨ておむつに限定されるものではない。
第１図は、本発明に係わる使い捨ておむつ11を平坦に
引き伸ばした状態の平面図であり、このおむつ11の構造
を一層明瞭に示すために構造の一部を切り欠き、着用者
と接触する面を上にして示した図である。
第１図に示すように、おむつ11は、液不透過性バック
シート13、液透過性トップシート12、吸収体14及び液透
過性上面シート15を有し、背側ウエスト部21と、腹側ウ
エスト部23と、股部22と、サイドフラップ24とを含む。
更に、一対のテープファスナー16と、サイドフラップ24
内にある弾性体17とを有しても良く、これによりおむつ
としての機能及び性能が向上される。
このようなおむつ11の構成は、液不透過性バックシー
ト13と液透過性トップシート12の間に吸収体14が設置さ
れ、液透過性トップシート12の上面に液透過性上面シー
ト15が設置される。更に好ましい実施態様においては、
サイドフラップ24のバックシート13とトップシート12の
間に弾性体17を備え、一対のテープファスナー16がサイ
ドフラップ24の背側ウエスト部21に固定されている。
おむつ11は概ね縦方向に長く、バックシート13とトッ
プシート12は、近似の長さ及び幅を有する。バックシー
ト13としては、一般に厚さが10から60μの低密度の不透
明のポリエチレンシートが使用されるが、特にシャリ音
が小さく、ムレ、カブレを起こさせにくい蒸気透過性で
液不透過性の多孔シートが好ましい。ここで「シャリ
音」とはシートなどが揉まれるときに発生する音を言
う。トップシート12としては、一般に坪量が15から40g/
m2の不織布が使用されるが、液透過性であればフィル
ム、ネット等でも差し支えなく、特に周囲が溌水性で中
央部が親水性のものが好ましい。
弾性体17としては、一般にポリウレタン、天然ゴムな
どを紐、リボンなどの形状にしたものや水に濡れてから
伸縮性を発現する糸等が用いられ、これをおむつの左右
のサイドフラップにそれぞれ１本以上、概ね５本までの
本数で設置する。弾性体17の取り付け長さはおむつの長
さの約30から約60％であり、伸長度合は自由長の約1.3
倍から約2.0倍が好ましい。
吸収体14としては、一般に針葉樹のクラフトパルプを
粉砕した綿状体を吸水紙で覆ったものが用いられ、特に
高吸収性ポリマーを含ませたものが好ましい。綿状体の
重量は一般に約10gから40gである。吸収体に使用される
高吸収性ポリマーの存在位置としては吸収体中の上、
中、下層あるいはパルプと混合でもかまわず、高吸収性
ポリマー粒子としては、デンプン系、セルロース系、合
成ポリマー系が挙げられ、例えば、デンプン−アクリル
酸（塩）グラフト共重合体、デンプン−アクリロニトリ
ル共重合体のケン化物、ナトリウムカルボキシメチルセ
ルロースの架橋物、アクリル酸（塩）重合体などが適当
である。かかる高吸収性ポリマー粒子は自重の20倍以上
の液吸収性保持力を有しゲル化する性質を有するもので
ある。
液透過性上面シート15は、トップシート12の上面にあ
り、おむつ11の縦方向の両端部25,26において前記トッ
プシート12と固定されていて、中間部は固定されずに自
由部分27を形成している。上面シート15の幅は、おむつ
11の幅の約30％から約70％が好ましく、特に吸収体14の
股部分22の最小幅より狭い方が、吸収体14の吸収性能を
有効に活用でき、好ましい。上面シート15の長さは、お
むつ11と同一の長さでなくても良く、実質的に短い方が
好ましい。特におむつの自然体において、上面シート15
の縦方向の長さをL1、液透過性トップシート12の縦方向
の長さをL2とすると、L1とL2の関係はL1＜L2であること
が好ましく、更に好ましくは0.3L2＜L1＜0.98L2、特に
好ましくは0.5L2＜L1＜0.90L2である。L1が0.3L2より小
さければ、装着性が著しく低下し、L1が0.98L2より大き
ければ、前記おむつ端部に固定されていて中間部が固定
されていない上面シートと液透過性トップシートの間の
空間が少なくなり排尿排便速度の緩和効果が生じにくく
なる。上面シート15の平面形状は、上面シート15が着用
者の股部に良く密着できるために自由部分27の幅が狭く
端部25,26の幅が拾い砂時計型が好ましいが、端部25,26
の幅と自由部分27の幅が同じであっても良く、自由部分
27の幅が端部25,26の幅より広くてもかまわない。上面
シート15の素材としては、不織布、網目状シート、多孔
を有するシート、弾性を有するシートなどの液透過性の
シートが用いられる。
第２図は、第１図のＡ−Ａ線断面を着用状態で示す断
面図であり、液透過性上面シート15はおむつ11の端部2
5,26において固定手段28,29により液透過性トップシー
ト12に固定されていて、自由部分27は固定されていな
い。自由部分27の長さは、おむつ11を平坦に引き伸ばし
た状態における固定手段28と29の内側端間の距離より実
質的に短くすることが好ましく、このようにすることに
より第２図に示すように、自由部分27は吸収体14から遊
離する。
固定手段28,29の位置は、おむつ11の縦方向の前後２
箇所にあり少なくとも自由部分27が存在する位置になけ
ればならなく、おむつ11の縦方向の前後端から約10mmか
ら約50mmの範囲が好ましい。固定手段28,29の幅は、上
面シート15の前幅と近似であることが望ましく、固定手
段28,29の面積は、特に限定されない。固定手段28,29に
おけるトップシート12と上面シート15の剥離力は、少な
くとも上面シート15が着用中に剥離されることなく、分
泌物の廃棄などのために行う剥離処理のときにほとんど
弱体化せずに剥離できる程度が好ましい。固定手段28,2
9の具体的方法は、ホットメルト接着、熱接着、超音波
接着、縫合、フックとループの組み合わせなどがある。
第１図及び第２図においては、液透過性トップシート
12の上に液透過性上面シート15があり、トップシート12
がおむつ11の全面に配置されているが、トップシート12
は上面シート15の下の全面積に存在しなくても良い。こ
の場合、上面シート15の固定手段28,29の一部はバック
シート13と連携することになることもある。
〔実施例〕
以下、実施例により、本発明を更に詳細に説明する
が、本発明はこれら実施例に限定されるものではない。
比較例１ 液透過性のトップシートとしてポリエチレン／ポリプ
ロピレン繊維よりなる不織布（35g/m2）を、吸収体とし
てフラッフパルプと高吸収性ポリマー（ポリアクリル酸
Na架橋体）との複合体（縦390mm×横150mm）、液不透過
性のバックシートとしてポリエチレンフィルム（厚さ40
μ）を、またレック部弾性材としてポリウレタンフィル
ムをそれぞれ用いて、縦450mm（L2）、横300mmのおむつ
を作製した。
実施例１ 比較例１のおむつのトップシートの上面に、上面シー
トとして熱融着により作製したポリエチレン／ポリプロ
ピレン繊維よりなる縦390mm（L1＝0.87×L2）、横180mm
の不織布（25g/m2）を用い、吸収体上面を完全におおう
ように縦方向両端部をホットメルト接着材により固定し
ておむつとした。
実施例２ 上面シートとしてウォーターニードリング法によって
作製したポリエステル繊維よりなる不織布（20g/m2）を
用いた以外は実施例１と同様のおむつを得た。
実施例３ 上面シートとして直径1mm未満の微小孔（約100個/c
m2）を有する穴あきポリエチレンフィルム（厚み30μ）
を用いた以外は実施例１と同様のおむつを得た。
尚、上面シートについては実施例１〜３とも非イオン
性界面活性剤により親水化処理を行った。
実施例１〜３及び比較例１で得られたおむつを、体重
10kgの乳児をもとに設計、製作したベビーモデルに装着
し、漏れ防止効果の評価を行った。
漏れ防止効果の評価は、3g/秒,5g/秒,8g/秒の速度
で、試験液を10g毎に一括で注入し、仰向け寝の姿勢で
背中から漏れるまでに吸収した吸収量（背漏れ値）、う
つ伏せ寝の姿勢でおなかから漏れるまでに吸収した吸収
量（前漏れ値）を求めた。
結果を表１に示す。
〔発明の効果〕 本発明の吸収性物品によれば、液透過性上面シートの
中間部分が、吸収体と固定されていないため吸収体の変
形に影響されないで、着用者の股部に密着できることに
より、尿、便などの着用者の分泌物を効果的に吸収でき
防漏機能及び吸収性能が改良できる。
本発明の吸収性物品が着用者の分泌物を吸収する工程
を詳細に説明すると、分泌物は液透過性上面シートの中
間部分に排出され、次に吸収体に吸収される。液透過性
上面シートの中間部分は着用者に装着されることにより
着用者の股部に密着され着用者の分泌物をほとんど分散
することなく集中して受け入れることができ、着用者の
分泌物を吸収体のほぼ中央部分に案内して吸収体の吸収
性能を有効に活用できる。
ここで、遊離している液透過性上面シートの中間部分
と吸収体の連携について詳細に説明すると、吸収体は液
透過性上面シートの中間部分の下方に位置するため、液
透過性上面シートの中間部分が受け入れた前記分泌物を
受け入れ吸収する。また、実施態様によっては液透過性
上面シートの中間部分はトップシートの部分領域と接触
することにより、中間部分が受け入れた分泌物を接触点
を介してすみやかに吸収体に導くことができる。
本発明の重要な効果は、ほとんど独立して着用者の股
部に密着できる液透過性上面シートの中間部分があるこ
とにより、着用者の分泌物をほとんど分散することなく
集中して受け入れ、吸収体のほぼ中央部分に案内して吸
収性能を有効に活用できることにある。更に、便などの
固形物の収容能力があり防漏効果が優れていることであ
る。更に本発明の別の効果は、液透過性上面シートの両
端部分の固定力を限定することにより、液透過性上面シ
ートをおむつ本体から容易に分離でき、液透過性上面シ
ートの上に分泌された分泌物とともに廃棄しうることで
ある。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】液不透過性バックシート、液透過性トップ
    シート、前記両シートの間に位置する吸収体及び前記ト
    ップシートの上面に位置する液透過性上面シートを有す
    る吸収性物品において、前記上面シートは径が1mm以上
    の多数の透孔を有さない不織布又はフィルムからなり、
    その縦方向の両端部分が固定され、中間部分が固定され
    ていないことを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  2. 【請求項２】前記上面シートの縦方向の長さが、自然体
    において前記トップシートの縦方向の長さよりも短い請
    求項１記載の吸収性物品。
