尿素噴射器86では、CSF83から排出された排ガスに尿素が混合され、尿素から分解生成されたアンモニア(NH3)を含む排ガスがSCR触媒コンバータ85に流入する。SCR触媒コンバータ85では、下記式6、式7および式8の反応が起こることにより、排ガスに含まれるNOxが浄化される。

式7の反応は、Fast SCR反応と呼ばれており、式6および式8の反応よりも反応速度が速い。式7に従って、SCR触媒コンバータ85における反応を効率よく進めるには、SCR触媒コンバータ85に流入するNOの物質量とNO2の物質量とが1:1となることが求められる。一方、CSF83では、既述の式3、式4および式5のように、ススの燃焼により多くのNO2が消費され、NOが生成される。

Claims (5)
- 多孔質セラミック構造体であって、
主成分がコージェライトである多孔質の構造体本体と、
前記構造体本体に固定されるマンガンおよびタングステンと、
を備え、
前記マンガンおよび前記タングステンは、前記構造体本体の気孔の内部に固定された金属酸化物粒子の構成要素であり、
前記金属酸化物粒子は、
前記構造体本体の内部に位置する固定部と、
前記固定部に連続するとともに前記気孔内に突出する突出部と、
を備え、
前記金属酸化物粒子は、MnWO 4 の粒子を含み、
前記多孔質セラミック構造体におけるMnWO 4 の含有率は、0.2質量%以上かつ2.0質量%以下であることを特徴とする多孔質セラミック構造体。 - 請求項1に記載の多孔質セラミック構造体であって、
タングステンの含有率は、WO3換算で0.1質量%以上かつ1.5質量%以下であることを特徴とする多孔質セラミック構造体。 - 請求項1または2に記載の多孔質セラミック構造体であって、
マンガンの含有率は、Mn2O3換算で0.5質量%以上かつ3.0質量%以下であることを特徴とする多孔質セラミック構造体。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の多孔質セラミック構造体であって、
MnWO4の前記粒子のアスペクト比は5.5以上であることを特徴とする多孔質セラミック構造体。 - 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1つに記載の多孔質セラミック構造体であって、
MnWO4の前記粒子の形状は、粒状または繊維状であり、
MnWO4の前記粒子は、
前記構造体本体のコージェライト結晶の粒界に存在する前記固定部と、
前記粒界から前記気孔内へと突出する前記突出部と、
を備えることを特徴とする多孔質セラミック構造体。
