Description
図1は、本発明の実施形態によるエンジンの制御装置を自動車用筒内噴射式ガソリンエンジンに適用させたシステムの構成を示すシステム構成図である。
前述のように、触媒暖気制御中は排気温度を上昇させるために、点火時期は可能な限り遅角側(圧縮上死点後)に設定される。ただし、点火時期を遅角すればするほど、点火時の燃焼室内の温度が低下してしまい燃焼が起こしにくくなる。その結果、燃焼が不安定な状態となる。点火時期を遅角した状態で燃焼を安定させるためには、点火時に点火プラグ周りに着火しやすい混合気状態(燃料過濃状態)を形成させる必要がある。燃料過濃な混合気を形成するためには、点火の直前に燃料を噴射し、混合が十分に進まない状態で点火する必要がある。以上より、図5に示したように、点火時期θspkを極端に遅角する触媒暖気制御時には、それに伴い燃料噴射時期ITも近角側に設定する必要がある。言い換えると、点火時期θspkと燃料噴射時期ITによって安定燃焼可能か否かが決定される。

Claims (10)
- 燃料を噴射する量または時期、燃料を噴射する際の燃料噴射圧力、燃料の噴霧形態、燃料温度、混合燃料の混合比率、の複数の制御対象のうち少なくとも一つを制御する燃料噴射制御手段と、
前記燃料噴射制御手段により噴射された燃料への点火時期または点火エネルギの複数の制御対象のうち少なくとも一つを制御する点火制御手段と、
排気中の粒子状物質を検出または推定するための粒子状物質検出手段と、
排気の温度を検出または推定するための排気温度検出手段と、
を備えた、火花点火式エンジンの制御装置において、
前記火花点火式エンジンは、燃料を気筒内に直接噴射する筒内噴射式エンジンであり、
前記燃料噴射制御手段は、前記排気温度検出手段によって検出または推定された排気温度に基づいて複数の制御対象の切り替えを行い、
前記点火制御手段は、前記粒子状物質検出手段によって検出または推定された粒子状物質濃度に基づいて複数の制御対象の切り替えを行うことを特徴とする火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 前記粒子状物質濃度が所定値Aよりも高い場合において、
前記排気温度が所定値B以上の場合には燃料噴射時期を進角することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 前記粒子状物質濃度が所定値Aよりも高い場合において、
前記排気温度が所定値B未満の場合には燃料噴射圧力を上昇することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。 - 前記排気温度が所定値B未満である場合において、前記粒子状物質濃度が所定値A未満の場合には点火時期および燃料噴射時期を遅角することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
- 前記排気温度が所定値B未満である場合において、前記粒子状物質濃度が所定値A以上の場合には点火時期を遅角するとともに点火エネルギを増加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
- 前記粒子状物質濃度および前記排気温度に基づく前記エンジンの燃料噴射および点火制御は、前記エンジンの始動直後の触媒暖機運転時に実施されること、を特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
- 前記粒子状物質検出手段により検出された粒子状物質濃度および前記排気温度検出手段により検出された排気温度は、前記エンジンの現在の運転条件における排気の状態を表すものであること、を特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
- 前記点火エネルギを増加させるための手段として、火花放電時間の長期化、火花点火回数の増加、複数の点火手段の重ね放電、のうちを少なくとも1つを実施すること、を特徴とする請求項1に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
- 前記粒子状物質濃度および前記排気温度に基づく前記エンジンの燃料噴射制御および点火制御の制御値を記憶しておき、次回の触媒暖気運転時に前記制御値に基づいて燃料噴射および点火制御を実施すること、を特徴とする請求項7に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
- 前記燃料噴射制御手段は、前記排気温度に基づいて複数の制御対象のパラメータを増減制御し、
前記点火制御手段は、前記粒子状物質濃度に基づいて複数の制御対象のパラメータを増減制御することを特徴とする請求項1から9いずれか一項に記載の火花点火式エンジンの制御装置。
