[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, a high voltage direct current power source (1) comprising a DC power source (1a) and a capacitor (1b), and a main circuit for causing a discharge current to flow from the capacitor by switching so as to discharge the charge of the capacitor for a short time. A high voltage pulse power supply comprising a switching module (7) and a trigger circuit for switching the main circuit switching module so as to discharge the charge for a short time by inputting a trigger signal (4) to the main circuit switching module In the circuit, the discharge current flows through the main circuit switching module and the load in this order, and a current detector (12) for detecting the discharge current flowing through the load and a protection signal are input. protection switching module flowing the discharge current to bypass the load (6) by (1 And), the a protection switching module drive board for outputting a protection signal (14), after the trigger signal to the main circuit switching modules is not input, the possible discharge current is detected by the current detector Thus, the protection signal is output to the protection switching module by the protection switching module drive board (14), so that the electric charge stored in the capacitor of the high-voltage DC power supply is prevented from flowing a current over a certain time to the load. There is provided a high voltage pulse power supply circuit characterized in that it is discharged instantaneously through the protective switching module (10).
[0008]
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the main circuit switching module (7) and the protection switching module drive substrate (14) are made of semiconductor elements.
[0009]
According to the configuration of the present invention, the charge accumulated in the capacitor (1b) by the DC power source (1a) is turned on, the trigger signal (4) turns on the main circuit switching module (7), and the capacitor charge is discharged through the transformer, for example. The high voltage pulse voltage can be applied to the load of the magnetron or klystron only for a short time when the trigger signal is turned on.
Further, when the switching module (7) of the high voltage circuit becomes conductive due to overcurrent or the like, the discharge current that continues after the trigger signal is turned off is detected by the current detector (12), and the protection switching module drive A protection signal is output from the substrate (14), and the discharge current can be discharged by bypassing the load (6) through the protection switching module (10).
Therefore, in order to shorten this operation time, if the main circuit switching module (7) and the protection switching module drive board (14) made of semiconductor elements are used, the application time is instantaneously applied before the application time exceeds the allowable range. The load can be protected by stopping.
[0010]
The protection switching module drive board (14) compares the current signal detected by the current detector (12) with the trigger signal (4), and outputs a protection signal when the current signal continues longer than the trigger signal. Has a comparator.
With this configuration, it is possible to instantaneously detect that the switching module (7) is in a conductive state and output a protection signal with a slight delay of about 4 to 5 μsec.
[0011]
The discharge current flows through the main circuit switching module and the load in this order, and then flows to the ground. The protective switching module (10) includes a thyratron (10a) and a resistor connected in series. consists (10b), is disposed between the upstream side or downstream side and the ground of the main circuit switching module (7). A semiconductor element such as a thyristor may be used instead of the thyratron. With this configuration, a protection signal from the protection switching module drive board (14) causes the discharge current flowing through the main circuit switching module (7) to flow from the upstream side or the downstream side to the ground, and the discharge current bypasses the load (6). And can be discharged.
[0012]
The trigger circuit includes an optical / electrical converter (8) that inputs a trigger signal (4) to the main circuit switching module.
With this configuration, the ON / OFF signal of the trigger signal (4) can be input to the main circuit switching module with little delay and without being affected by noise.

【The invention's effect】
As mentioned above, when the protective device is not equipped, there is a risk of breaking the load when the main circuit switch is short-circuited. In the case of a vacuum tube such as a magnetron or klystron, the load is very expensive. However, these loads can be protected at high speed (several μs) by installing the protection device of the present invention.
[0025]
That is, the high voltage pulse power supply circuit of the present invention can apply a high voltage pulse to a magnetron or klystron load for a short time, and immediately stops application before the application time exceeds the allowable range. It has excellent effects such as being able to protect.
