PURPOSE:To obtain a power source having good economy and small installing space by performing the sonstruction of the power source having less power receiving capacity, thereby eliminating the installation of new machine such as a motor generator. CONSTITUTION:When a breaker 3 is closed in the state that a capacitor 1 and a commutation capacitor 5 are charged to set values by chargers 2, 6 respectively, the discharging current from the capacitor 1 will flow through a load coil 8. When a clover switch 4 is closed in case that the discharging current reaches the maximum value, the current flowing through the coil 8 will become almost flat current wave- form. When a switch 15 is then closed, the breaker 3 is opened and a commutation switch 7 is closed, the discharging current from the condenser 5 will make a zero point at the current flowing through the breaker 3, and the breaker 3 is thus completely opened. When the breaker 3 is thus completely opened, the current flowing through the coil 8 flows into a discharging resistor 14, thereby abruptly varying the current and thus forming a plasma current.
