Abstract

Description
本発明は、一般に車両速度制御に関し、特に様々な地形及びコンディションを横断することのできる車両の速度を制御するための方法及びシステムに関する。
典型的にはクルーズコントロールシステムと呼ばれる既知の車両速度制御システムでは、車両の設定速度は、最初にはユーザ(例えば、運転者)により設定できる。車両速度は、いったんユーザによって設定されると、仕事量を減少させることによりユーザのための運転経験を改善させるように、ユーザがさらに介入することなくオンロードで維持される。速度制御システムがアクティブ状態のままである限りにおいて、速度制御システムは、車両が進行するに従って車両の速度を指定された設定速度に維持しようとする。
保護を受けようとする本発明の一態様によれば、車両の速度を制御するための方法が提供される。この方法は、車両の先輪でスリップ事象、段差遭遇事象又はスリップ事象と段差遭遇事象の両方の発生を検出し;検出されたスリップ事象、段差遭遇又はその両方の発生が該車両の従動輪で生じることになることを予測し;そして該検出、該予測又は該検出及び該予測の両方に応答して車両速度、車両加速度又は車両速度と車両の加速度両方を自動的に制御することを含む。
本明細書における機能ブロックなどのブロックに対する言及には、出力が1以上の入力に応答して設けられる特定の機能又は作用を実行するためのソフトウェアコードに対する言及が含まれると解すべきである。このコードは、メインコンピュータプログラムによって呼び出されるソフトウェアルーチン若しくは関数の形態であることができ、又は別個のルーチン若しくは関数ではないコードの流れの一部をなすコードであることができる。機能ブロックに対する言及は、本発明の実施形態に係る制御システムの動作方法の説明を容易にするために行う。

Claims (1)
- 車両の速度制御システムを操作する方法であって、
該車両の先輪でのスリップ事象及び段差遭遇事象の少なくとも一つの発生を検出し;
該検出されたスリップ事象及び段差遭遇事象の少なくとも一つの発生が該車両の従動輪で生じることになることを予測し;そして
該検出及び該予測の両方に応じて車両速度及び車両加速度の少なくとも一つを自動的に制御すること
を含む方法。
