Abstract
Description
本発明は、電池等の蓄電デバイスにおける使用のための電極を製造するための水性フルオロポリマー組成物、好ましくは水性ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)組成物に関する。本組成物は、PVDF、バインダー、水および1種または複数種の電極形成材料を含有する。
エレクトロニクス産業においては、より小型でより軽量の電池によって電力供給される、より小型のデバイスを製造する傾向にある。炭素質材料等の負極およびリチウム金属酸化物等の正極を有する電池は、比較的大きな電力および軽い重量をもたらすことができる。
本発明は、
(a)水性媒体中に分散したポリフッ化ビニリデンポリマーと、
(b)(メタ)アクリルポリマー分散剤と
を含む、リチウムイオン二次電池の電極バインダーを提供する。
(a)リチウムの吸蔵/放出が可能である電気活性な物質、
(b)上記バインダー、
(c)導電剤、および
(d)増粘剤
を含む、リチウムイオン二次電池のための電極スラリーをさらに提供する。
(a)電流コレクタ、
(b)(i)ポリフッ化ビニリデンポリマー、
(ii)架橋(メタ)アクリルポリマー、
(iii)導電性材料、
(iv)リチウムの吸蔵/放出が可能な電極活物質、および
(v)増粘剤
を含む、コレクタ(a)上に形成された硬化フィルム
を含む、電極をさらに提供する。

Claims (42)
- (a)水性媒体中に分散したポリフッ化ビニリデンポリマーと、
(b)(メタ)アクリルポリマー分散剤と
を含む、リチウムイオン二次電池の電極バインダー。 - 前記(メタ)アクリルポリマーが、−50℃から+70℃までのガラス転移温度を有する、請求項1に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記(メタ)アクリルポリマーが、1種または複数種のカルボン酸含有(メタ)アクリルモノマーを含むモノマーの混合物から調製され、前記カルボン酸基が、塩基によって少なくとも部分的に中和されている、請求項1に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記モノマーの混合物が、ヒドロキシル基含有(メタ)アクリルモノマーを含む、請求項3に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記塩基が、アミンである、請求項3に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記アミンが、揮発性第三級アミンである、請求項5に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記モノマーの混合物が、反応性基であって、前記カルボン酸および/もしくは前記ヒドロキシル基と反応性またはそれら自体と反応性である反応性基を含有するモノマーを含有するという点で、自己架橋性である、請求項4に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記反応性基が、N−アルコキシメチル(メタ)アクリルアミド基および/またはブロック化イソシアネート基を含む、請求項7に記載の電極バインダー。
- (c)カルボン酸基と反応性である架橋剤をさらに含有する、請求項3に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記架橋剤が、アミノプラスト、ポリカルボジイミドおよび/またはポリエポキシドを含む、請求項9に記載の電極バインダー。
- 前記ポリフッ化ビニリデンポリマーが、50重量パーセントから98重量パーセントまでの量で存在し、前記(メタ)アクリルポリマーが、2重量パーセントから50重量パーセントまでの量で存在し、前記架橋剤が、2重量パーセントから50重量パーセントまでの量で存在し、重量による百分率は樹脂固形分を基準にしている、請求項9に記載の電極バインダー。
- 30重量パーセントから80重量パーセントまでの樹脂固形分含量を有する、請求項11に記載の電極バインダー。
- (a)リチウムの吸蔵/放出が可能である電気活性な物質、
(b)(i)水性媒体中に分散したポリフッ化ビニリデンポリマーと、
(ii)(メタ)アクリルポリマー分散剤と
を別個の構成要素として含む、バインダー、
(c)導電剤、および
(d)増粘剤
を含む、リチウムイオン二次電池のための電極スラリー。 - (a)が、LiCoO2、LiNiO2、LiFePO4、LiCoPO4、LiMnO2、LiMn2O4、Li(NiMnCo)O2、Li(NiCoAl)O2、炭素被覆されたLiFePO4およびこれらの混合物を含む、請求項13に記載の電極スラリー。
- (a)が、LiFePO4である、請求項13に記載の電極スラリー。
- (c)が、黒鉛、活性炭、アセチレンブラック、ファーネスブラックおよびグラフェンを含む、請求項13に記載の電極スラリー。
- 有機溶媒をさらに含む、請求項13に記載の電極スラリー。

- 前記(メタ)アクリルポリマーが、1種または複数種のカルボン酸含有(メタ)アクリルモノマーを含むモノマーの混合物から調製され、前記カルボン酸基が、塩基によって少なくとも部分的に中和されている、請求項13に記載の電極スラリー。
- 前記モノマーの混合物が、ヒドロキシル基含有(メタ)アクリルモノマーを含む、請求項20に記載の電極スラリー。

- 前記架橋(メタ)アクリルポリマーが、前記(メタ)アクリルポリマーと関連している活性水素基と、前記活性水素基と反応性である反応性基を含有する架橋剤との反応から形成される、請求項30に記載の電極。
- 前記活性水素基が、カルボン酸基を含む、請求項32に記載の電極。
- 前記架橋剤が、前記(メタ)アクリルポリマー中または前記活性水素基と反応性である前記別途添加された架橋材料中に反応性基を含有する、請求項32に記載の電極。
- 前記(メタ)アクリルポリマー中の前記反応性基が、N−アルコキシメチルアミド基および/またはブロック化イソシアネート基を含む、請求項34に記載の電極。
- 前記別途添加された材料が、アミノプラスト、ポリカルボジイミドおよび/またはポリエポキシドを含む、請求項32に記載の電極。
- (iii)が、黒鉛、活性炭、アセチレンブラック、ファーネスブラックおよびグラフェンを含む、請求項30に記載の電極。
- (iv)が、LiCoO2、LiNiO2、LiFePO4、LiCoPO4、LiMnO2、LiMn2O4、Li(NiMnCo)O2、Li(NiCoAl)O2、炭素被覆されたLiFePO4およびこれらの混合物を含む、請求項30に記載の電極。
