Abstract
【解決手段】変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマー100重量部およびイソシアネート系架橋剤0.01〜1.80重量部を含有し、変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーは、環状エーテル基含有モノマーを含む鎖が、幹ポリマーにグラフト重合されてなり、アルキル(メタ)アクリレート、環状エーテル基含有モノマー、および非環状エーテル基含有モノマーを構成成分として含み、変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーにおいて、非環状エーテル基含有モノマーは、幹ポリマーを構成する他のモノマー成分の合計量100重量部に対して、8〜40重量部含まれるような光学用粘接着剤組成物を調製し、さらに、このような組成物から形成される光学用粘接着剤層、光学部材、および画像表示装置等を作成する。

Description
該変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーは、環状エーテル基含有モノマーを含む鎖が、幹ポリマーにグラフト重合されてなり、アルキル(メタ)アクリレート、環状エーテル基含有モノマー、および非環状エーテル基含有モノマーを構成成分として含み、
該変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーにおいて、非環状エーテル基含有モノマーは、幹ポリマーを構成する他のモノマー成分の合計量100重量部に対して、8〜40重量部含まれる、光学用粘接着剤組成物、に関する。

上記Tg1、Tg2、Tg3等は、共重合成分それぞれ単独の重合体1、2、3等のガラス転移温度を絶対温度で表したものであり、W1、W2、W3等は、それぞれの共重合成分の重量分率である。なお、単独の重合体のガラス転移温度(Tg)は、Polymer Handbook (4th edition, John Wiley & Sons. Inc.)から得た。
得られた変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーの重量平均分子量は、GPC(ゲル・パーミエーション・クロマトグラフィー)により測定した。サンプルは、試料をジメチルホルムアミドに溶解して0.1重量%の溶液とし、これを一晩静置した後、0.45μmのメンブレンフィルターで濾過した濾液を用いた。

乾燥・架橋処理した粘接着剤(最初の重量W1)を、酢酸エチル溶液に浸漬して、室温で1週間放置した後、不溶分を取り出し、乾燥させた重量(W2)を測定し、下記のように求めた。
ゲル分率=(W2/W1)×100
実施例・比較例で得た光照射後の幅30mmの粘着シートサンプルを用いて、25℃の雰囲気温度で、村上色彩技術研究所製反射・透過率計HR−100型にて、D−65光を用いてJISK−7136に準じて測定(%)した。
UV照射後の粘接着剤層の動的粘弾性を測定した(23℃および80℃)。

23℃ での貯蔵弾性率(G')を読み取った。
市販の液晶テレビ「BRAVIA W1 40インチ」から液晶パネルを取り出し、液晶セルの上下に配置されていた偏光板等の光学フィルムを全て取り除いた。この液晶セルのガラス板の表裏を洗浄したものを液晶セルとした。当該液晶セルの視認側に、実施例および比較例で得られた粘接着剤付偏光板1を、偏光板の吸収軸方向が液晶セルの長辺方向と実質的に平行になるように、粘接着剤付偏光板1の粘接着剤層側を液晶セルに貼り合せた。次いで、液晶セルの視認側とは反対側(バックライト側)に、実施例および比較例で得られた粘接着剤付偏光板2を、偏光板の吸収軸方向が液晶セルの長辺方向と実質的に直交するように、粘接着剤付偏光板2の粘接着剤層側を液晶セルに貼り合せた。これを液晶パネルとする。液晶パネルの視認側の粘接着剤付偏光板1とバックライト側の粘接着剤付偏光板2の各偏光板の吸収軸方向は実質的に直交である。液晶パネルを、元の液晶表示装置のバックライトユニットと結合し、液晶表示装置を作製した。液晶表示装置について、正面方向のコントラスト比を測定した。コントラスト比の測定は、23℃の暗室でバックライトを点灯させてから30分間経過した後、トプコン社製の製品名「BM−5」を用いて、レンズをパネル前方の50cm位置に配置し、白画像および黒画像を表示した際のXYZ表示系のY値を測定した。白画像におけるY値(YW:白輝度)と黒画像におけるY値(YB:黒輝度)とから、正面方向のコントラスト比「YW/YB」を算出した。
コントラスト評価で用いた同じ装置について、面輝度の測定を行った。バックライト点灯30分経過後、黒表示をさせて行った。輝度分布測定装置(コニカミノルタ社製「CA−1500」)により(輝度比)=(MIN輝度/MAX輝度)を算出した。測定装置で輝度比を算出する際には、パネルを横4区画×縦3区画に12分割し、中央部4区画の中で最も小さい輝度をMIN輝度とし、パネル面内のMAX輝度を評価のMAX輝度として算出した。
40×30cmの無アルカリガラスの両面に粘接着剤付偏光板1の粘接着剤層側をクロスニコルになるように貼り合わせ、50℃×0.5MPaのオートクレーブにて15分間静置後、90℃と60℃/90%RHに500h投入後はがれや発泡について観察した。剥がれや発泡があるもの×、微小な発泡△、剥がれや発泡なし:○
(透明保護フィルム)
厚み80μmのTACフィルム(富士フィルム(株)製、商品名「80UL」)を準備した。これを、透明保護フィルムとした。
厚み75μmのポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を主成分とする高分子フィルム(クラレ(株)製、商品名「VF-PS#7500」を下記[1]〜[5]の条件の5浴に、フィルム長手方向に張力を付与しながら浸漬し、最終的な延伸倍率がフィルム元長に対し、6.2倍になるように延伸した。この延伸フィルムを40℃の空気循環式オーブン内で1分間乾燥させて、厚み28μmの偏光子を作製した。
<条件>
[1]膨潤浴:30℃の純水。
[2]染色浴:水100重量部に対し、0.032重量部のヨウ素と、0.2重量部のヨウ化カリウムとを含む、30℃の水溶液。
[3]第1の架橋浴:3質量%のヨウ化カリウムと、3質量%のホウ酸とを含む、40℃の水溶液。
[4]第2の架橋浴:5質量%のヨウ化カリウムと、4質量%のホウ酸とを含む、60℃の水溶液。
[5]水洗浴:3質量%のヨウ化カリウムを含む、25℃の水溶液。
厚み100μmのノルボルネン系樹脂を含有する高分子フィルム(JSR(株)製、商品名「ARTON」を、テンター延伸機を用いて、固定端横一軸延伸法(長手方向を固定し、幅方向に延伸する方法)により、155℃の空気循環式恒温オーブン内で2.8倍に延伸して、厚み45μmの光学補償層を作製した。
前記偏光子の両側に、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含有する水溶性接着剤(日本合成化学工業(株)製、商品名「ゴーセファイマーZ200」)を介して、前記透明保護フィルムを貼着することで、透明保護フィルム/偏光子/透明保護フィルムの3層構造からなる偏光板1を作製した。
前記偏光子の一方の側に、ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂を含有する水溶性接着剤(日本合成化学工業(株)製、商品名「ゴーセファイマーZ200」)を介して、前記光学補償層を、前記光学補償層の遅相軸と前記偏光子の吸収軸とが直交するように貼着した。次に、前記偏光子の他方の側に、前記透明保護フィルムを、前記水溶性接着剤を介して貼着することで、光学補償層/偏光子/透明保護フィルムの3層構造からなる偏光板2を作製した。
(アクリル系ポリマーの調製)
攪拌羽根、温度計、窒素ガス導入管、冷却器を備えた4つ口フラスコに、n−ブチルアクリレート(BA)85重量部、メトキシエチルアクリレート(MEA)15重量部、4−ヒドロキシブチルアクリレート(HBA)3重量部、重合開始剤として2,2’−アゾビスイソブチロニトリル0.1重量部を酢酸エチル200重量部と共に仕込み、緩やかに攪拌しながら窒素ガスを導入して1時間窒素置換した後、フラスコ内の液温を55℃付近に保って10時間重合反応を行い、重量平均分子量90万のアクリル系ポリマー溶液を調製した。得られたアクリル系ポリマーのガラス転移温度は233Kであった。
得られたアクリル系ポリマー溶液を、酢酸エチルにて固形分が25%になるように希釈して、希釈溶液(I)を調製した。攪拌羽根、温度計、窒素ガス導入管、冷却器を備えた4つ口フラスコに、希釈溶液(I)400重量部に、4−ヒドロキシブチルアクリレートグリシジルエーテル(4HBAGE)10重量部と2−エチルエキシルアクリレート 10重量部とベンゾイルパーオキサイド0.1重量部を加え、緩やかに攪拌しながら窒素ガスを導入して1時間窒素置換した後、フラスコ内の液温を65℃付近に保って4時間、次いで70℃で4時間重合反応を行い、グラフトポリマー溶液を得た。
次いで、このようにして得られたグラフトポリマー溶液の固形分100重量部に対して、キシリレンジイソシアネートのトリメチロールプロパンアダクト体(三井化学社製、タケネートD110N)(NCO)0.1重量部、光開始剤としてアリールスルホニウムヘキサフルオロフォスフェート(LAMBERTI社製、ESACURE1064) 0.25重量部、シランカップリング剤として、3−グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン(信越化学社製、KBM403)0.1重量部を配合して粘接着剤溶液を調製した。
上記粘接着剤溶液を、シリコーン処理を施した、38μmのPETフィルム(三菱樹脂社製、MRF−38)の片面に、乾燥後の粘接着剤層の厚さが20μmになるように塗布し、120℃で3分間乾燥をさせて、試験サンプル1Bを作製し、粘接着剤層面にもMRF−38を貼り合せた。光を照射せずにゲル分率の測定を行い、これを光未照射時のゲル分率とする。
実施例1と同様に、表1に記載の組成で実施例2〜7、および比較例1〜4の粘接着剤層および粘接着剤付偏光板サンプルを調製した。

- 変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマー100重量部およびイソシアネート系架橋剤0.01〜1.80重量部を含有する光学用粘接着剤組成物であって、
該変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーは、環状エーテル基含有モノマーを含む鎖が、幹ポリマーにグラフト重合されてなり、アルキル(メタ)アクリレート、環状エーテル基含有モノマー、および非環状エーテル基含有モノマーを構成成分として含み、
該変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーにおいて、非環状エーテル基含有モノマーは、幹ポリマーを構成する他のモノマー成分の合計量100重量部に対して、8〜40重量部含まれる、
光学用粘接着剤組成物。 - 前記変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーにおいて、前記非環状エーテル基含有モノマーが、幹ポリマーに含まれる、請求項1記載の光学用粘接着剤組成物。
- さらに、前記変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマー100重量部に対し、光重合開始剤0.05〜10重量部もしくは熱硬化触媒0.05〜10重量部を含有する、請求項1または2記載の光学用粘接着剤組成物。
- さらに、前記変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマー100重量部に対し、シランカップリング剤0.01〜5重量部を含有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の光学用粘接着剤組成物。
- 前記環状エーテル基含有モノマーを含む鎖が、環状エーテル基含有モノマーとその他の1種類以上のモノマーからなり、該環状エーテル基含有モノマーとその他のモノマーの合計量との比が、90:10〜10:90の範囲である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の光学用粘接着剤組成物。
- 前記変性(メタ)アクリル系グラフトポリマーが、幹ポリマー100重量部に、前記環状エーテル基含有モノマー2〜50重量部、過酸化物0.02〜5重量部の存在下にてグラフト重合させることにより得られる、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載の光学用粘接着剤組成物。
