Abstract
Description
本発明は磁性酸化物ナノ粒子または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法に係り、より詳しくは、(1)磁性または金属先駆物質を、界面活性剤または界面活性剤を含む溶媒に添加して混合溶液を製造する段階、(2)前記混合溶液を50〜600℃に加熱して前記先駆物質を熱分解させることで磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子を形成する段階、および(3)前記ナノ粒子を分離する段階を含む磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法に関するものである。
金属酸化物ナノ粒子は、大きさおよび形状によって磁気的、電気的および光学的特徴が違うものと知られている(Dai,Z.R. Adv. Func. Mater.2003,vol.19,p.9)。このような性質を基にして、金属酸化物ナノ粒子は磁気共鳴映像造影剤、各種記録記憶媒体、触媒、エネルギー保存、センサーおよびフェロフルーイド(ferrofluid)のような多様な分野に応用可能なものと予想されている(Zarur,A.J. Nature, 2000, vol.403, p.65; Majetich,S.A. Science, 1999,vol.284,p.470)。
したがって、本発明の目的は、酸化剤または還元剤を使わないで簡単な工程によって目的とする大きさおよび均一な形状を有する磁性酸化物ナノ粒子または金属酸化物ナノ粒子を効率的に大量生産することができる磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法を提供することである。
本発明は磁性酸化物ナノ粒子または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法に関するものである。前記方法は、(1)磁性または金属先駆物質を界面活性剤または界面活性剤を含む溶媒に添加して混合溶液を製造する段階、(2)前記混合溶液を50〜600℃に加熱して前記先駆物質を熱分解させることで磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子が形成する段階、および(3)前記ナノ粒子を分離する段階を含む。
実施例1.多様な大きさを有する酸化鉄ナノ粒子の製造
0.1Mラウリン酸(Aldrich)および0.1Mラウリルアミン(Aldrich)を含む290℃の20mlオクチルエーテル(Aldrich)溶媒で鉄ニトレート(Aldrich)を1時間熱分解化学反応(thermal decomposition)して、6nm酸化鉄ナノ粒子を合成した。また、前述した合成方法において、溶媒の量を10mlにし、前記6nm酸化鉄ナノ粒子の合成過程と同様な過程を行って9nm酸化鉄ナノ粒子を製造した。同時に、前述した合成方法において、溶媒の量を5mlにし、前記6nm、9nm酸化鉄ナノ粒子の合成過程と同様な過程を行って12nm酸化鉄ナノ粒子を製造した。
6nmマンガンフェライトナノ粒子は、鉄ニトレート(Aldrich)とマンガンクロライド(Aldrich)先駆物質を2:1の当量比で混合し、0.1Mラウリン酸および0.1Mラウリルアミンを含む290℃の20mlオクチルエーテル溶媒で1時間反応させて製造した。9nm、12nmマンガンフェライトナノ粒子は実施例1と同様に溶媒の量を調節して合成した。
前記実施例2のマンガンクロライド先駆物質の代わりにコバルトまたはニッケルクロライド(Aldrich)先駆物質を使って実施例2と同様な方法によってそれぞれコバルトフェライトナノ粒子とニッケルフェライトナノ粒子を製造した。
実施例1において、金属先駆物質の量を10倍増加させて、4g鉄ニトレートと1Mラウリン酸および1Mラウリルアミンを含む290℃の100mlオクチルエーテル溶媒で大量の酸化鉄ナノ粒子を合成した。
0.5mmoleチタニウムテトラクロライド(Aldrich)を0.28gオレイン酸(Aldrich)、1.7gオレイルアミン(Aldrich)と混合した後、290℃で2分間熱分解反応させてチタニウム酸化物ナノ粒子を製造した。
0.1mmoleタングステンテトラクロライド(Aldrich)を1.63gオレイン酸、0.54gオレイルアミンと混合した後、350℃で1時間熱分解反応させてタングステン酸化物ナノ粒子を製造した。
0.5mmoleマンガンクロライド(Aldrich)を0.28gオレイン酸、1.64gオレイルアミンと混合した後、270℃で20分間熱分解反応させてマンガン酸化物ナノ粒子を製造した。
本発明による製造方法を利用して、酸化剤または還元剤なしに、磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子を大量に製造することができ、先駆物質の濃度または界面活性剤を調節して所望大きさの磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子を均一に製造することができる。
Claims (35)
- (1)磁性または金属先駆物質を、界面活性剤または界面活性剤を含む溶媒に添加して混合溶液を製造する段階;
(2)前記混合溶液を50〜600℃に加熱して前記先駆物質を熱分解させることで磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子を形成する段階;および
(3)前記ナノ粒子を分離する段階;を含む磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。 - 前記磁性先駆物質は、金属ニトレート系の化合物、金属サルフェート系の化合物、金属フルオロアセトアセテート系の化合物、金属ハライド(MXa、M=Ti、Zr、Ta、Nb、Mn、Sr、Ba、W、Mo、Sn、Pb、X=F、Cl、Br、I、0<a≦5)系の化合物、金属ペルクロレート系の化合物、金属スルファメート系の化合物、金属ステアレート系の化合物、および有機金属系の化合物よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属ニトレート系の化合物は、鉄(II)ニトレート、鉄(III)ニトレート、マンガンニトレート、コバルトニトレート、亜鉛ニトレート、ニッケルニトレート、および銅ニトレートよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属サルフェート系の化合物は、鉄サルフェート(II)、鉄サルフェート(III)、マンガンサルフェート、コバルトサルフェート、ニッケルサルフェート、銅サルフェート、および亜鉛サルフェートよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属フルオロアセトアセテート系の化合物は、鉄トリフルオロアセトアセテート、コバルトヘキサフルオロアセトアセテート、マンガンヘキサフルオロアセトアセテート、ニッケルヘキサフルオロアセトアセテート、銅ヘキサフルオロアセトアセテート、および亜鉛ヘキサフルオロアセトアセテートよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属ハライド系の化合物は、鉄(II)クロライド、鉄(III)クロライド、コバルトクロライド、ニッケルクロライド、銅クロライド、亜鉛クロライド、ガドリニウムクロライド、鉄(II)ブロマイド、鉄(III)ブロマイド、コバルトブロマイド、ニッケルブロマイド、銅ブロマイド、亜鉛ブロマイド、鉄(II)アイオダイド、鉄(III)アイオダイド、マンガンアイオダイド、ニッケルアイオダイド、銅アイオダイド、亜鉛アイオダイド、およびコバルトアイオダイドよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属ペルクロレート系の化合物は、鉄(III)ペルクロレート、コバルトペルクロレート、マンガンペルクロレート、ニッケルペルクロレート、銅ペルクロレート、および亜鉛ペルクロレートよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属スルファメート系の化合物は、鉄スルファメート、マンガンスルファメート、ニッケルスルファメート、コバルトスルファメート、銅スルファメート、および亜鉛スルファメートよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属ステアレート系の化合物は、鉄ステアレート、マンガンステアレート、ニッケルステアレート、銅ステアレート、コバルトステアレート、および亜鉛ステアレートよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記有機金属系の化合物は、鉄(III)メソテトラフェニルポルフィンオキソダイマー、トリス(2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−3,5−ヘプタンダイオネート)鉄(III)、ビス(2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−3,5−ヘプタンダイオネート)ニッケル、ビス(2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−3,5−ヘプタンダイオネート)コバルト、ビス(2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−3,5−ヘプタンダイオネート)銅、ビス(2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−3,5−ヘプタンダイオネート)亜鉛、およびビス(2,2,6,6−テトラメチル−3,5−ヘプタンダイオネート)マンガンよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属先駆物質は、金属ハライド(MXa、M=Ti、Zr、Ta、Nb、Mn、Sr、Ba、W、Mo、Sn、Pb、X=F、Cl、Br、I、0<a≦5)系の化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属ハライド系の化合物は、チタニウムテトラクロライド、ジルコニウムテトラクロライド、タンタラムペンタクロライド、スズテトラクロライド、タングステンクロライド、モリブデンテトラクロライド、マンガンクロライド、チタニウムテトラブロマイド、ジルコニウムテトラブロマイド、タンタラムペンタブロマイド、スズテトラブロマイド、およびマンガンブロマイドよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記界面活性剤は、有機酸(CnCOOH、Cn:炭化水素、7≦n≦30)と有機アミン(CnNH2、Cn:炭化水素、7≦n≦30)、アルカンチオール(CnSH、Cn:炭化水素、7≦n≦30)、ホスホン酸(CnPO(OH)2、Cn:炭化水素、7≦n≦30)、アルキルフォスフェート、トリオクチルホスフィンオキサイド、トリブチルホスフィン、アルキルサルフェート、およびテトラアルキルアンモニウムハライドよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記有機酸は、オレイン酸、ラウリン酸、ステアリン酸、ミステリン酸、およびヘキサデカン酸よりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。

- 前記有機アミンは、オレイルアミン、トリオクチルアミン、ジオクチルアミン、およびヘキサデシルアミンよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記アルカンチオールは、ドデカンチオール、ヘキサチオール、およびヘプタデガンチオールよりなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記界面活性剤は、先駆物質の1〜100倍の量で混合溶液に含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記溶媒は、先駆物質の1〜100倍の量で混合溶液に含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記磁性先駆物質を含む混合溶液は、50〜600℃で30分〜3時間加熱することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属先駆物質を含む混合溶液は、50〜600℃で1分〜2時間加熱することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記磁性先駆物質の濃度を調節して磁性酸化物ナノ粒子の大きさを調節することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 1種の界面活性剤が利用された場合にはその濃度を調節し、2種の界面活性剤が利用された場合にはこれらの成分比を調節することで金属酸化物ナノ粒子の直径を調節することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記磁性酸化物ナノ粒子は、単一磁性酸化物ナノ粒子または複合磁性酸化物ナノ粒子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記単一磁性酸化物ナノ粒子は、MxOy(M=Fe、Ni、Co、Gd、Mn、Zn、Cr、Cu、0<x≦3、0<y≦4)であることを特徴とする、請求項30に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記複合磁性酸化物ナノ粒子は、MM’2O4(MおよびM’=Co、Ni、Mn、Zn、Gd、Cr)であることを特徴とする、請求項30に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記金属酸化物ナノ粒子は、単一金属酸化物ナノ粒子または複合金属酸化物ナノ粒子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記単一金属酸化物ナノ粒子は、MxOy(M=Ti、Zr、Ta、Nb、Mn、Sr、Ba、W、Mo、Sn、Pb、0<x≦3、0<y≦5)であることを特徴とする、請求項33に記載の磁性または金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記複合金属酸化物ナノ粒子は、BaTiO3、PbTiO3、ZrTiO3、BaSrxTi1−xまたはPbZrxTi1−xO3(0≦x≦1)であることを特徴とする、請求項33に記載の複合金属酸化物ナノ粒子の製造方法。
