Claims (3)
- 複数気筒を有する機関本体(11)のシリンダヘッド(15)に開閉作動可能に配設される機関弁(30)を開閉駆動する動弁装置(34)に、油圧制御装置(71)で制御される油圧で作動して前記複数気筒の一部の気筒の機関弁(30)を閉弁休止して気筒休止状態とするための油圧式弁休止機構(43)が設けられる多気筒内燃機関において、前記油圧制御装置(71)が、前記気筒休止状態となり得る気筒に対応する部分の直上で前記機関本体(11)に配設されることを特徴とする多気筒内燃機関。
- 前記機関本体(11)の一部を構成して前記シリンダヘッド(15)に結合されるヘッドカバー(16)に、前記油圧制御装置(71)が直接取付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載の多気筒内燃機関。
- 前記機関本体(11)が直列4気筒を有するように構成され、それらの気筒の配列方向に沿う両端の気筒に対応する部分で前記動弁装置(34)に前記油圧式弁休止機構(43)が設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の多気筒内燃機関。
