Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a plunger and a plunger lubrication method, and more specifically, an injection sleeve in which a molten metal is poured from a hot water inlet, and a slidably inserted into the injection sleeve to inject the molten metal into a cavity of a mold. A plunger including a plunger tip, and a lubricant supply means for supplying a lubricant to a sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip; an injection sleeve into which molten metal is poured from a hot water inlet; and an inside of the injection sleeve The present invention relates to a method for lubricating a plunger that lubricates a sliding surface with a plunger tip that is slidably inserted into the mold and injects molten metal into a cavity of a mold.
The plunger of the die casting machine is configured such that the plunger tip is slidably inserted into the injection sleeve, and the plunger tip is poured from the hot water inlet of the injection sleeve with the plunger tip retracted. Driven forward, the molten metal in the injection sleeve is injected and filled into the cavity of the mold. The forward movement of the plunger tip is normally performed at a relatively low speed from the backward advance start position to the predetermined switching position (low speed range) and from the forward switching position to the relatively high speed / high pressure from the forward switching position (high speed range). Driving. Since the molten metal pressure is low in the low speed region located at the rear, the sliding load between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip is small (low). However, in the high speed region located in the front, the molten metal pressure is high, so the sliding load is low. Become bigger (higher).
Here, in order to properly inject the molten metal in the injection sleeve, it is necessary to appropriately lubricate the sliding surfaces of the injection sleeve and the plunger tip so that the sliding surfaces of the injection sleeve and the plunger tip are not worn or frayed. is there. Conventionally, in order to lubricate the sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip, a lubricant is dropped on the upper portion of the plunger tip to supply the spraying surface or spray the inside of the injection sleeve. Yes. In general, the lubricant is dropped when the plunger tip is stopped at the retreat limit position where the injection of the molten metal starts.
By the way, when the lubricant for lubricating the injection sleeve and the plunger tip comes into contact with the molten metal supplied into the injection sleeve, it becomes gas or residue due to the heat of the molten metal (hereinafter referred to as gas or residue). Are collectively referred to as gas etc.). When these gases are involved in the molten metal, there arises a problem that defects are caused by mixing into the die cast product.
In order to avoid such problems and form a high-quality die-cast product, it may be possible to reduce the amount of lubricant supplied to the sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip. When the amount is reduced, the sliding surface cannot be sufficiently lubricated, and accordingly, the sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip is worn or galling occurs, and the molten metal cannot be injected properly. Therefore, it is necessary to supply an appropriate amount of lubricant to the sliding surface without the lubricant coming into contact with the molten metal.
That is, in
As described above, the forward movement of the plunger tip generally has a low speed region where the sliding load is small and a high speed region where the sliding load is large. The amount of lubricant required is different. In other words, in the low speed range from the advance start position to the switching position, there is only a small need for supplying the lubricant because the casting pressure is low and the sliding load is small, or there is no need to supply the lubricant. possible. On the other hand, in a high-speed region in front of the switching position, a large amount of lubricant needs to be supplied because a sliding load increases due to an increase in casting pressure and the like.
However, in the general prior art described above, when the lubricant is dropped, it is performed when the plunger tip is stopped at the retreat limit position. The problem is that the lubricant does not reach the high speed range and runs short. When spraying the lubricant into the injection sleeve, as described above, the gas generated when the molten metal poured into the injection sleeve comes into contact with the lubricant is caught in the molten metal and mixed into the die-cast product. As a result, there arises a problem that a defect occurs and a problem that the amount of lubricant to be used increases.
Of the conventional techniques described above, in
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems. With a simple configuration, the sliding surface of the injection sleeve and the plunger tip has an appropriate amount according to the sliding load that changes as the pressure of the molten metal changes. It is an object of the present invention to provide a plunger and a plunger lubrication method that can supply a lubricant to an appropriate position and, as a result, can appropriately manufacture a high-quality die-cast product without causing defects.
In order to achieve the above object, the plunger according to the first aspect of the present invention has an injection sleeve in which the molten metal is poured from a hot water inlet, and is slidably fitted into the injection sleeve so that the molten metal is poured into the cavity of the mold. A plunger comprising: a plunger tip for injection; and a lubricant supply means for supplying a lubricant to a sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip, wherein the lubricant supply means is in communication with the sliding surface. A reserve chamber that stores a predetermined amount of lubricant, a piston that moves to change the volume of the reserve chamber according to the pressure of the molten metal in the injection sleeve, and discharges the lubricant from the reserve chamber to the sliding surface; It is characterized by having.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the plunger lubrication method according to
In the first aspect of the present invention, the piston is first positioned so that the volume of the lubricant supply means in the reserve chamber is maximized, and the reserve chamber is prefilled with a predetermined amount of lubricant. When injecting the molten metal, the molten metal is poured into the injection sleeve with the plunger tip retracted in the injection sleeve, and the plunger chip is driven forward. The forward speed of the plunger tip is generally moved at a relatively low speed in the low speed range from the start of advancement to the predetermined switching position, and moved at a relatively high speed and high pressure in the high speed area positioned forward from the switching position. . In the low speed region, since the pressure of the molten metal is not increased, the piston of the lubricant supply means does not move or moves to such an extent that the volume of the reserve chamber is slightly reduced. Therefore, in the rear low speed region where the sliding load is low, the lubricant is not supplied to the sliding surface or even if supplied, the amount is small. Then, when the plunger tip is further driven forward at a relatively high speed and high pressure past the switching position, the piston of the lubricant supply means moves so as to reduce the volume of the reserve chamber by the rise of the pressure of the molten metal, The lubricant is discharged onto the sliding surface. As described above, the piston of the lubricant supply means moves in accordance with the change in the pressure of the molten metal accompanying the forward movement of the plunger tip to change the volume of the reserve chamber, so that an appropriate amount of lubricant can be applied at an appropriate position. A sliding load that varies depending on the position of the plunger tip with respect to the injection sleeve is reduced by automatically supplying the sliding surface mechanically. Therefore, the sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip can be properly lubricated, and the amount of the lubricant contacted with the molten metal can be reduced, so that an appropriately high-quality die-cast product is manufactured. A plunger is provided.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a lubricant supply means comprising a reserve chamber for storing a predetermined amount of lubricant and a piston that moves to change the volume of the reserve chamber. The reserve chamber is filled with a predetermined amount of lubricant in advance, and the piston is positioned so that the volume of the lubricant supply means in the reserve chamber is maximized. When injecting the molten metal, the plunger tip is driven forward with the plunger tip retracted in the injection sleeve. In general, the forward speed of the plunger tip is relatively low in a low speed region located rearward from the start of advancement to a predetermined switching position, and is moved in a high speed region located forward from the switching position with relatively high speed and high pressure. In the low speed range where the sliding load is low and the position is behind, the pressure of the molten metal is not high, so the piston of the lubricant supply means does not move or moves to a degree that slightly reduces the volume of the reserve chamber. To do. Therefore, in the low speed range, the lubricant is not supplied to the sliding surface or even if supplied, the amount is small. When the plunger tip is further driven forward at a relatively high speed and high pressure beyond the switching position, the piston of the lubricant supply means is moved so that the volume of the reserve chamber is reduced by the increase in the pressure of the molten metal, and the lubricant Is discharged onto the sliding surface. In this way, by moving the piston of the lubricant supply means in accordance with the change in the pressure of the molten metal accompanying the forward movement of the plunger tip and changing the volume of the reserve chamber, an appropriate amount of lubricant can be obtained at an appropriate position. The sliding load that varies depending on the position of the plunger tip relative to the injection sleeve is reduced by mechanically supplying the sliding surface automatically. Therefore, the sliding surface between the injection sleeve and the plunger tip can be properly lubricated, and the amount of the lubricant contacted with the molten metal can be reduced, so that an appropriately high-quality die-cast product is manufactured. A plunger lubrication method is provided.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the reserve chamber communicates with the sliding surface and stores a predetermined amount of lubricant, and moves so as to change the volume of the reserve chamber according to the pressure of the molten metal in the injection sleeve. With a simple configuration that includes a lubricant supply means having a piston that discharges lubricant from the reserve chamber to the sliding surface, the sliding surface of the injection sleeve and the plunger tip is suitable for the sliding load. A large amount of lubricant can be mechanically and automatically supplied at an appropriate position, and thus a plunger capable of producing an appropriately high-quality die cast product can be provided.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a lubricant supply means comprising a reserve chamber for storing a predetermined amount of lubricant and a piston that moves to change the volume of the reserve chamber. The piston is moved so as to change the volume of the reserve chamber according to the pressure of the molten metal, and the lubricant is discharged from the reserve chamber onto the sliding surface.
As shown in FIG. 2, in a state where the
Next, the plunger lubrication method of the present invention will be described based on FIGS. 2 and 3 together with the operation of the plunger configured as described above depending on the operation.
The plunger lubrication method according to the present invention is roughly moved to change the volume in the

Then, when the
Thus, the
FIG. 4 shows a plate-like test using a plunger (this time) provided with the lubricant supply means 3 according to the present invention and a conventional plunger (comparison) in which the lubricant is dropped on the plunger tip as described above. It is the graph which compared the average of the generation | occurrence | production area | region of the blister which generate | occur | produced on the surface of the test piece by carrying out the heat processing to about 520 degreeC, for example, by die-casting 10 pieces. The molding conditions in comparison with this time are oil lubricants obtained by adding an extreme pressure additive or the like to the vegetable oil as the lubricant, and the amount of dripping per shot and the lubricant L due to the backward movement of the
As is apparent from the graph of FIG. 4, the amount of blister generated due to the gas generated when the lubricant L comes into contact with the molten metal M is much larger than the comparison (conventional technology). Has decreased. Further, in the plunger according to the present invention, no galling occurred even when 100 shots of the molten metal M were continuously injected. As described above, in the present invention, since an appropriate amount of lubricant is mechanically and automatically supplied to the sliding
