896,920. Clamps. BOULTON SCAFFOLDING Ltd. Nov. 29, 1960, No.40887/60., Addition to 896,919. Class 44. The tube connector of the parent Specification is modified in that, that part 11 of the tubular body through which the shank of the bolt 13 does not extend, is fixed permanently and positively to the collar 12 to prevent axial movementof the part 11 relative to the collar, thereby eliminating any possibility of the part 11 being removed inadvertently from the connector. As shown, the part 11 is fixed to the collar 12 by a rivet 18 which allows limited radial movement of the part when the bolt 13 is operated. The collar may be split, as shown, or alternatively, Fig. 4, (not shown) it may be of annular section with an internal diameter which is greater than that of the pipes to be connected.
