881,679. Rotary meters. COMPAGNIE DES COMPTEURS. March 11, 1960 [March 27, 1959], No. 8700/60. Class 110 (2). In a rotary flowmeter of turbine type, a flange 4 separates the inlet and exhaust apertures 13, 14 respectively and is situated at an angle of 45 degrees to the pivotal axis of the turbine 7, the injection chamber 5 being orientatable within the meter shells 1, 2 by rotation on an axis perpendicular to the plane of the flange and passing through the centre thereof, so that the axis of the turbine can be brought to the vertical whatever the position of the axis of the inlet and outlet pipes (see Fig. 5, not shown). A reduction gear 8 transmits rotary movement of the turbine 7 through an intermediate gear 9 and worm 10 to a counter gearing 12.
