Abstract

1,206,016. Measuring mass flow-rate electrically. ESSO RESEARCH & ENG. CO. Jan.11, 1968 [Feb.16, 1967], No.1603/68. Headings G1N and G1R. The mass flow-rate of a gas through a conduit 11, Fig.1, is obtained by spacing a turbine meter 12 upstream of an orifice meter 13, and dividing the output #P from the orifice meter by the output signal f from the turbine meter, the quotient being proportional to the mass flow-rate. The minimum spacing between the two meters for conduits with andwithout straightening valves, and limiting valves of meter characteristics are specified.
