[Class 80 (iii)] [Also in Groups XXXI and XXXIII] A linkwork for hand driving mechanism, e.g. for a child's vehicle or water craft, comprises a lever 21 combined angular and lateral bodily displacement of which drives a'crank 20, the lever being pivoted at 22 on a member 17 which is itself moved by the crank in a direction'to 'lessen the required angular movement of the lever. As shown applied to a four-wheeled vehicle the hand lever 21 is connected by a rod 23 to the crank or to a bracket 24 on a rod 19 connecting the crank to the member 17, which comprises a rocket pivoted at 18 on the frame 3 of the vehicle. The crank drives 'the rear wheels 5 through a chain 15. To-and-fro movement of the lever 21 turns the crank through the rods 23, 19, the lever fulcrum being displaced in the same direction as the movement of the upper end of the lever. A seat 11 is provided on the frame and the front wheels 10 are steered by the feet resting on footrests'12. A casing 27 encloses the mechanism.
