480,622. Pedal - crank driving - mechanism. NEWELL, C.- A. Oct. 31, 1936, No. 29690. Addition. to 453, 342. [Class 136 (ii)] A pedal attachment as described in the parent Specification is adapted for use in any type of vehicle or machine which is driven by two or more pairs of cranks, the position of the attachment being variable to enable children or short-legged persons to pedal while riding on any of the seats. In the triplet bicycle shown, the auxiliary pedals e are mounted on arms c attached to the two rear pairs of cranks b and coupled together by a rod f. In other forms of triplet bicycles, the pedal-attachments are mounted on the front and rear, or on the two front, pairs of cranks. The attachment may be so constructed that it can be shifted from one side of the vehicle &c. to the other-when a change in the position of a child from one seat to another is desired.
