Abstract

531,498. Motor vehicle bonnets. BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE AKT.-GES. July 24, 1939, No. 21485. Convention date, July 25, 1938. Addition to 525,933. [Class 79 (iii)] A device for limiting the opening of the lids of motor vehicle bonnets, as described in the parent Specification, consists of a lever 1 pivoted at one end to a bracket secured to the bonnet lid 4. The other end of the lever has a transverse pin 2 which co-operates with a looped device 8 fixed to the radiator cover to prevent the complete opening of the lid. A spring 3 mounted on the bonnet lid bracket keeps the lever within the loop 8, but the lid may be opened completely by disengaging by hand the lever and the loop.
