436,778. Motor-car bonnet fastenings. ETHERINGTON, N. G. N., Hesledon House, Welbeck Road, Newcastle-on-Tyne. April 10, 1935, No. 11140. [Class 44] A motor-car bonnet is secured by internal bolts a guided in rubber-lined bearings b, c and having points f, g engaging rubber-lined eyes h, j. The bolt extends through the floor-board r and is provided with a handring s accessible from inside the vehicle. The bolt passes through a rectangular casing q, provided with a rubber layer t, and having an upward extension u, into which a pin p on the bolt extends to prevent operation of the bolt. For release, the bolt is rotated through 90‹, the case q being of sufficient width to allow the bolt to slide when the pin p is in horizontal position.
