Abstract

530,762. Pumps. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.- GES. July 3, 1939, No. 19286. Convention date, July 4, 1938. [Class 7 (ii)] The speed of a blower c driven from the engine shaft e through epicyclic or differential gearing is varied according to the proportion of exhaust gases delivered to a turbine b the shaft of which carries a pinion i gearing with an element of the epicyclic train f, g, h. The valve q controlling the passage to the turbine b and to the atmosphere by way of the conduit o, may be adjusted either manually or automatically, for example by a diaphragm or capsule influenced by atmospheric or induction-pipe pressure.
