532,572. Valves; mixing air and gas. PURDAY, H. F. P., McCALLUM, N., and REBBECK, F. E. Sept. 8, 1939, No. 25402. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi)] Gas admitted by a pipe H to a contracted part of the air-inlet pipe D is controlled by a valve G actuated from the valve gear which operates the main inlet valve A. The valve G may be a rotary one, and may be surrounded by a sleeve adjustable by a speed governor or a regulating lever or pedal. The contraction in the inlet pipe D may be formed by a Venturi constriction, or by a bulbous gas-inlet nozzle K.
