524,708. Brackets; supporting cables and conduits. McGREGOR, J. R. O. Feb. 3, 1939, No. 3707. [Class 52 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVI] Means for supporting pipes, conduits, or electric cables comprises a bar 1, Fig. 1, preferably of channel section, and supporting elements 5, Figs. 5, 6, 9, the bar 1 having holes 2 connected in pairs, the holes either overlapping so as to leave a constricted communication or being joined by constricted passages 3, and the elements 5 being each formed with a T-shaped lug 8 of such dimensions as to pass through the constricted passages in the bar and to be rotatable in the holes 2. In the form shown in Fig. 9, the elements 5 are in pairs for use in supporting vertical cables &c. the two lugs 8 together being of the required dimensions. The bar 1 may be secured to walls, ceilings, &c., or to girders, beams, &c., by means of bolts or clamps utilizing the holes 2. The bars 1 may also be used independently of the elements 5 for supporting usual forms of saddles or cleats by means of bolts passed through the holes 2.
