Scaffolding and staging. - In standardized metallic scaffolding comprising vertical members having four-way junction-pieces sliding thereon, the junction-pieces d are formed with tapered recesses to receive lugs on the ends of cross-pieces e, e' and putlogs. The junction-pieces are supported by two-piece sleeves or clamps f; or, alternatively, by supports f<1>, Fig. 5, which engage notches a<1> in bars' a of cruciform section. The feet of the uprights are received by flanged shoeplates b. For diagonal bars, rotatable two-part clamps are provided.
