Abstract

1,253,577. Tube support means. BOUCHER & CO. Ltd. 30 April, 1970 [15 July, 1969], No. 35514/69. Heading F2P. [Also in Division H2] A support member for carrying electrical conductors or pipes or tubes comprises two side members 10 connected by a plurality of links 18 pivotably attached by rivets or nuts and bolts 20 so that the width of the channel between the side members 10 may be altered. The conductors or pipes or tubes are held on the links 18 by straps 27 attached by nuts and screws 26 so that they may be moved along the links, and the conductors, pipes or tubes may be passed through holes 30 in the structure. Locking members may be provided to maintain the side members 10 in any desired spacing and the members 10 and links 18 may be made of galvanized mild steel, aluminium or plastics. The side members 10 are formed of two pieces held together by bolts and nuts 28a and have rounded top edges (15, Fig. 3, not shown). Further links 18 may be provided between the tops of the side members 10 and more than two side members may be provided to form more than one channel. The support member may be fixed in a building.
