[Class 69 (ii)] A hydraulic torque converter is provided with two or more secondary members 3, 5, each driving a separate shaft in the same direction ; the drive may be transmitted to vehicle axles 7, 8 throughmechanical gearing, and by employing gearing of different ratios, the secondary members may rotate at different speeds. One secondary member may be connected to the secondary member of an ordinary hydraulic coupling or torque converter, used alternately with the first converter.
