Abstract

436,058. Pumps. BUCHI, A., 20, Salstrasse, Winterthur, Switzerland. Feb. 20, 1935, No. 5436. Convention date, Feb. 23, 1934. [Class 7 (ii)] Two exhaustdriven turboblower sets are mounted between the arms of a V- multi-cylinder engine, one set adjacent to each end of the engine. Part of each row of cylinders exhausts into one exhaust turbine 18 and the remainder of each row into the other turbine 19, separate compartments for each part being preferably used. The blowers 20, 21 deliver to the whole of the cylinders through an intercommunicating system, which may be formed in the framing. Either the exhaust-turbine or the blower part of each set may be at the outer end-faces of the engine.
