Class 110(ii) [Also in Group XXVII] The exhaust gases of an internal-combustion engine pass through a free-running Roots' blower 12, Fig. 2, having bearings 18 on the outer side of its finned housing 14. The blower may have a flywheel with removable laminations 28 to allow adjustment of its inertia effect. In. Fig. 3, a number of blowers 34 are arranged in the separate exhausts of a four-cylinder engine.
