Abstract

427,845. Boxes. SMITH, G., 97, Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, London. April 27, 1934, Nos. 12776 and 15251. [Class 18] A collapsable box for incandescent electric lamps &c., is made from a blank comprising a rectangular base 1 with two opposite edges a free and the remaining edges b each adjoining a side section. A group of at least two side sections is attached to each edge b, and at least two of these side sections have top and bottom flaps, the bottom flaps 6, 7 lying upon the base 1 when the side sections are erected. The top flaps 8, 9 are turned in and are directly overlapped by a main top section 12. The box may be formed from a one-piece blank, or the blank may comprise a number of parts. As shown, the box may be of truncated pyramidal form, and the top or closure may be at the smaller or the larger end.
