Abstract

416,600. Non - refillable bottles. NEWMAN, H. A., 56, Springfield Road, Tottenham, London. May 11, 1933, No. 13766. [Class 125 (i).] A non-refillable bottle comprises a cylindrical tube 2 secured on the bottle neck, preferably by a clinch ring 4, and having a ball valve 11 and seating 10 at its lower end, lower and upper sets of perforations or slots 8, 6 and a cap or disc 9 secured in the tube above the ball valve and between the sets of perforations or slots. A recessed sleeve 3 is secured to the exterior of the tube to cover the perforations or slots and when the bottle is tilted, the ball valve moves from its seat and the contents are discharged through the sleeve to the upper smooth bore of the tube. The upper end of the tube may be closed by a cork or stopper and the cap or disc 9 preventing access to the valve is accommodated in a recess 7 in the wall of the tube.
