362,958. Stoppers for bottles. HAMMERSTEIN A., 1697, Broadway, New York, U.S.A. Aug. 14, 1930, No. 24347. Convention date, Aug. 28, 1929. [Class 125 (iii).] Relates to stoppers with valves which open outwardly. According to the invention, spring-pressed balls 22 are provided for locating the valve 11 in the closed or open positions. An axial bore 12 is provided for the passage of liquid, and a screw-threaded extension 6 for engagement with the bottle neck. The balls 22 are operated from the cap 15 which engages the valve rod 18<1>. The cap 15 has liquid passages 17 and an annular flange 19 surrounding a cylindrical boss 14.
